Fun for 6 year old.

These were a gift for my granddaughter' birthday. She loves them. The stamps are quite small. I did think they would be bigger but she didn't mind and had a lot of fun with them.

Cute gift

My daughters classroom is doing a gift exchange and requested a gift for under five dollars. I wanted something that wasn't complete junk and that would be something they could use again and again. I ordered this and then went to Walmart and got a .50 blank notepad. The stamp set came and is as cute as it looks in the picture. I won't be able to speak on how it works, since it is going to an anonymous home. Cute and easy gift!

Great designs for my kiddo

A lot of stamps come in this package & my 2 year old loves the designs. They show up pretty good on paper, but not the back of her hand. Which is where she wants to put it. She still enjoys playing with it!

Nice stamp set

This is a nice stamp set. The stamps are rather small (maybe just over 1/2 inch square). I read that in the description, maybe on another site, so I wasn't surprised about that. We bought these to make Valentines and had a lot of fun. Pottery Barn Kids was selling this exact same set for almost twice as much as Amazon. I think the price was fair at Amazon. I think the quality of the stamps is good. I like most Melissa and Doug products. I'm not sold on all of them, but I think the majority are made well. Just as side note, I bought another Melissa and Doug stamp set at the same time. It had larger stamps with colored pencils included. The colored pencils were trash. You had to push hard and the colors were not good. I only throw that in in case you are looking at other sets. The stamps are all good in both sets.

Durable and FUN stamp set

I have two small children, 4 and 6 that just love this stamp set. We purchased two additional stamp sets and they are equally good. The stamps are very durable and easy for them to grip with their little hands. The stamps are rubber on the stamp part and the tops, or handle, is made of wood. Each stamp set came with their own pad, so if you purchase multiple stamp sets you'll have plenty of stamp pads to go around. They come in a nicely made wooden box to store them in, the only thing missing is a lid for the box which would have been nice. There is extra space in the box that you can store extra stamp pads if you buy extras. I definately recommend buying these stamp sets.

Dried Ink

The stamps themselves are great but the ink pad that came with the set is dried out. Essentially useless until I find ink for the pad. Kinda disappointed. My girl loves stamps she was disappointed because it didn’t work.

Nice stamps, but a few drawbacks.

The stamps are nice, but I disagree with the 4+ recommended age. Unless you 4 year old has really good fine motor skills. The stamps are quite tiny and in order to get a clearly defined stamp you need to apply fairly even pressure. Also the stamps need to be wiped or washed in between using for different colours, otherwise the ink transfers for one pad to the other and everything turns into one shade of purple. So more suited for slightly older kids. My 6 year old loves them! The ink washed off hands easily and wipes from tables and chairs with baby wipes or a soapy cloth. Another small drawback is there is no lid on the box. So taking it along in the "child entertainment bag" is not an option. I like my arts and crafts to be take-along and this isn't, or at least, not the packaging. All in all, despite the few drawbacks, I think this is a good buy. Nice quality, and my kids love using them.

Perfect!

Small and very transferrable. It fits easily in my children's play bag when we go to restaurants or such places. They love the designs and the quality of stamps are great. I've bought M&D before and was disappointed by the quality of the prints. I know it sounds incredulous, but the force that you have to hold down the stamp on the pad to get a decent print was terrible. And no, the ink pad wasn't dry, as it had just been opened. This set, my kids absolutely love! Would recommend for children of any age from 3.
