So life like
We rescue Black Labs and just recently rescued another from a shelter. At the shelter up on a wall shelf I notice they had this stuffed dog and I said to my wife , we have to ask about it. The lady at the shelter mention that it was a Melissa and Doug, which meant nothing to me, but my wife knew all about the quality of Melissa and Doug products. So I had to find one and found it , where else but Amazon. It came packaged well and is a great addition to all of our other Black Lab items. It’s so life like that we have it on the floor looking over the dog bed and our 8 week old rescue as if it’s his mother watching over him. Well made.

Handling grief
My sweet Nina was laid to rest two days ago. I have three other dogs, but I just didn’t get the consolation from them I was looking for. I bought this doll on a whim the same night, and she already arrived today less than 48 hours later! She made me burst into tears and holding her is so much more like holding Nina than my other dogs. I can’t understand or explain why this doll is giving me more comfort right now, but she is. If you’re grieving, I highly recommend a look alike stuffy! ???????? She isn’t even close to being Nina, but she wears her collar well.

My god son loves this stuffed animal. It’s well work the the money and it is huge and soft. It come in a very large box so it makes for a great gift Christmas or birthday.

Best gift ever
Purchased this for our neighbors kids who always say they are going to steal our dog because this looks just like our dog! It came nicely packaged and to my surprise, it's quite soft! The legs are semi-bendable and it's plushy. I added a collar to go along with the gift and it was absolutely precious!

Great after your dog dies of cancer
My 17 year old all black hound mix dog died of oral malignant melanoma. This plush standing dog is a great reminder to hug and look at if u cannot afford high price of taxidermy!

Stuffed lab dog
Well this is stuffed tight, got for my dog he loves it... He's a pit /Shep very ruff even when he's trying to be gentle. I also got him the Lion, he turn a small hole under the chin at the seam, I sowed with leather string. I mean he gvs it what for, He's shark bite, so the heads are a hard whatever and I tell him not to crush the heads or bite to hard, No Shark Bite! These are great for kids. The lab dog stands well, I'm happy about that, I thought it better stuffed than the Lion, but my dog enjoys both of them, I hv no more room for any more big toys for my big dog???? THX

Made a kids day at St. Jude!
My son was getting treatment at St. Jude for AML Leukemia. We were there from January to July 2021. It was the middle of CoVID so we were all alone just me and him. The rest of my family could not be there to limit his exposure to germs because the chemo kills his immune system. I would love to tell you he missed his brothers and sisters, but the truth is he really missed his dog. She is a black lab. His mom found this dog and decided get it for him. It arrived in a big box and he was grinning from ear to ear when he opened it. That dog became our mascot! Every day we took turns moving it to random parts of the house, and surprised any maintenance or cleaning staff who entered the apartment. Some nights the dog ran away to other patients rooms with toys or cookies in its service harness. It would return to us a few hours/ days later with notes or gifts from other patients. My son named him ChemoSabe. That poor dog was lucky he didn't have his coat petted off while he lived at St. Jude. He was very sturdy and survived a 12 year old trying to ride him... never lost his shape! The only problem was when we finally went home our "real" dog was not to thrilled with the new dog that Jackson brought with him. The price of this dog has gone up quite a bit since we bought ours, but I still think it is a good deal. We just sent one to another St. Jude family and can't wait to hear stories about their adventures!

Great toy! Good quality
The fur is soft and it's quite sturdy, as the description notes it would not be sturdy enough for a child to sit on, however, it stands on it's own and a child could lay with it. It's quite realistic of the English Breed in my opinion, a bit more shorter and stout vs. the taller American. The snout I'd say is a bit shorter than a realistic dog, however, none of that matters, it's a cute toy for a child. We put it in our black labs' crate when we received it, she came down to go in and she seemed to think the toy was real and ran away. She's getting used to it now!
