Toddlers current favorite!

Who would have known that “desert shaped” made such a huge difference vs regular chalk. Our toddler loves this chalk and plays pretend “baking” with them, counts and names their colors as well as draws with them (and they’ve held up after SEVERAL daily drops in the driveway). I wish Melissa and Doug would make more “food shaped” chalks..as these have been a HUGE hit! Would (and probably will) purchase again! Excellent value and quality for the price.

Adorable sidewalk chalk!

These are so cute! My grandkids loved them. I split them up in their Easter baskets. Very nice quality product.

Beautiful, well made, a little hard to draw on concrete with because of the shapes.

This was an absolutely adorable idea. I have children who love to chalk or driveway and these were special treat, literally. Of all the pieces the ice cream cones were their favorite as day not only used it to draw with but pretended to eat it. The cupcakes I have a candle that you can switch out to the different cakes. It comes with enough pieces for two or three kids to draw happily with. It turns out because of their odd size, they are a little difficult to actually use to draw pictures. They candle and tips of the ice cream cones were easy but the fatter cupcakes are a bit tough to get any kind of edge on. It's definitely more for the novelty unless for actual use. My kids are seven and they enjoy drawing actual pictures now instead of just scribbles and circles. As with most Melissa and Doug things these were well made and very nice but for precision drawing, a little tough.

Such a sweet gift

This is such a fun gift for outdoor play! The colors are soft and not eye searing and these would be great for an ice cream themed party!

Unusual Pieces Look Delicious But Write Like Regular Chalk

Our four year old loves this set, and each sweet treat is a hefty piece of chalk. We were astonished when it first arrived—the box is fairly heavy and the cones, cupcakes, macaroons, ice cream cookie and candle are beautifully realistic. Our toddler admired them for a long time before actually writing with them on the driveway. I thought they might be harder to work with than regular chalk sticks, but she has no problems making scribbles. The candle fits inside any of the four cupcakes—we haven’ written with either the candle or cupcake tops yet because she wants to keep them looking deliciously intact for as long as possible. The more simple macaroons and cookies were the first to be used. This is truly a unique assortment of chalk.
