Sturdy

Melissa & Doug toys are one of my favorite toy lines and this didn't disappoint. The magnetic strips do stick well to the boards. They are covered with some plastic which is the reason I gave it a 4. The plastic is confusing as I'm not sure if I should remove it or leave it on. I knew the item was a little old for my 2 1/2 year old grandson but it is a good conversation "starter" as he plays with the magnets. We talk about the weather, day of the week, season etc. He isn't interested yet in leaving the magnets on the board but does enjoy the conversation and playing with the magnets. He does like the smiley faces and talking about how he is feeling too. He loves numbers so those magnets are favorites as well. So far, I just hold the board(s) on my lap or put it on the couch at his level so he can play with the magnets. Eventually or for an older child it would be great to hang up as it has some heavy rope handles.

Not just for children

My husband has Alzheimer's, and this calendar is very helpful, not only as a reminder of the date, but also for him to use to keep track of the year, season, date, day of the week, and his activities. Every evening before we go to bed, he makes the changes needed for the next day. It's conveniently hung on the door so it's easy for him to check the information. This calendar is a good tool for anyone battling cognitive issues.

I love this so much that I bought it again for my autistic adult child!! This should be in every autistic or special education elementary classroom!!

Exactly as described

My 3 year old loves updating our calendar every day! She loves to go outside and decide what to change the weather portion to. It has helped her learn seasons and days of the week. She also loves to say how she feels with the smiley faces

Great but missing tile

Just purchased this Andy daughter loves it but it came without the "Monday" tile and it ce with the years 2022-2026 but I've seen other reviews saying they got 2023-2027 even though they bought it months ago? I'll still get a couple years of use I guess but I have no idea how to get a replacement tile and now I can't return it because it is no it's original condition.

Not enough weather or event tiles

I liked that the quality was decent. It’s colourful. Some cute pictures. I didn’t like that for example, there’s doctor appointment but no dentist appointment, shopping trip, visiting(ie grandparents). There’s Canada Day, Chanukah, Groundhog Day but no Chinese New Year. There’s no windy, foggy or hail. There’s 2 blank magnet for you to add things- 1 is for emotions.

Attractive and Educational Product

Very good for children in the 4-7 age group. Attractive and easy to use. One big drawback is that this is a pure American product - our kids and we too will not related to all the holidays given here , however we can always create our suckers of Diwali and Holi and stick over Hanukah or Canada Day mentioned here !
