Great Replacement

My old battery charger was a 3 bank system but failed very suddenly. Upgraded as I have a 4 battery system on my boat and removed the parallel connections between two batteries that were there solely for charging purposes. My old charger had only one display that was for all banks but this charger has an indicator for each bank. I thought my alternators on my boat were failing but this new charger did the trick in two days and it actually saved me from having to get two new marine alternators. I am thrilled so far!

Installation

Put this on my father in laws bass boat the installation was very easy and very well labeled. The four banks is exactly what he needed.

i have 4 batts now & 2 trolling motors when i fish there last year i purchased my last 2 batts thought i had 2 bad ones nope bad

i fish a lot on a lake trolling motor only. i have 4 batts now & 2 trolling motors when i fish there last year i purchased my last 2 batts thought i had 2 bad ones nope bad chargers! this charger is great i run all day never change to other batts should have got this years ago. my other chargers would charge for 3 hrs green light would light and stop charging got on lake go out cove trolling motor would start to slow up by end of day worried if i would make it back

No brainer, should've got one sooner

I wish I got this charger a long time ago. With four banks I can charge my 36 volt trolling system and my cranking battery without using a second charger to do so. This charger has three phases of charging. The first phase charges to 75 percent at 10 amps then to 100 percent at 2 amps then it has a maintenance mode that it monitors itself. This charger is smaller than described. It measures 12" long x 8" wide x 10" high.

Installed my 4 bank charger in my bass boat. Hooked it to each battery and it works perfectly wish I would have done this years ago

MY MinnKota 440D and how I got there

In process of buying a new replacement on board battery charger,I had questions and were finally answered when I talked with the tech. dept. at Minkota and I felt that the info. given was tech. based and just not a sales hype. I compared prices and performance informatione-chose Mk-440D and am happy I did. I am happy with Amazon and with there associated bussiness stores. VERY HAPPY! Dean Naber

I have only had it for a couple of months and it is working very well, as described in the sales brochure, one of the cables had a small striped area but it did work ok, just check it when you get it out of the box.
