Nice quality

We had been struggling with loose handles on our fireplace tools (they would unthread) and decided we needed to get a set with handles forged on. This set is heavy and looks attractive. I expect not to have to purchase another set for many, many years.

Beautiful, quality, slightly flawed fireplace tool set

I purchased another set from Plow & Hearth (via Amazon) before this one - I wasn't happy with that one and returned it. Interestingly enough, that set is no longer available here on Amazon, and they did not print my 2-star review or photo that showed the item and defects - P&H choice, or Amazon's? Makes me wonder... Very pleased with the overall quality, simple lines and authentic hand-forged appearance of this set - the nice gunmetal gray I've been looking for in sets price 2 to 3 times this one. It's a heavy duty set, was packed well (a box in a box in a box and wrapped in foam sheets) and looks like it should last a long time. HOWEVER, the legs are not bent so that it's level and it's the leaning tower of tools. I will put it in a vise and try to level them, otherwise they will have to go back as well.
