Nice but install could have been smoother

Looks great. Works well. Installation was complicated by the need for a 7/64" allen wrench. It's listed as a "helpful tool" in the install manual. But it's a requirement, not an option. I have dozens of allen wrenches, but apparently not a 7/64". Suggestion - include one with the product.

Great unit, fit and finish match other Molen products

Excellent quality, and finish, how ever instructions are unclear and confusing. If you are not a plumber or have experience in installations, it can be challenging. Moen online support is useless, went to a local Moen dealer to resolve my installation issues.

Surprised and satisfied so far.

Now this review is about the product as I opened the package, not after a period of use. Wow, after all the reviews I read over the new trim I was very sceptical about purchasing this product, but I was very happy when I opened the box of the used trim. New is about $100 and the reviews were mixed, so I did not want to spend the $100 or so. However my wife really wanted to change the trim, so when she went to bed, I ordered the used trim. I wanted to see for myself what I was going to get. I expected it to come a bit scratched or in marginal shape, but it looks brand new. The box was the only thing that looked used. From some orders I read the spout was plastic, other orders had other finish complaints. On this used purchase, the shower spout is metal, the finish is what I would expect from new. However, I will not know how the finish lasts until I have installed it and used it for some time. So I am very happy and surprised at the quality of the used trim. If my wife wants to do the other 2 bathrooms, I will be happy to let her.

After a small modification that took 1 minute, this shower head and faucet are perfect!

The Moen Brantford faucet and showerhead was almost perfect. It looks great with our new bronze shower door. I did take notice to a couple reviews prior to purchasing. A couple people mentioned how far the handle sticks out. This isn't Moen's fault! This all depends on how close your valve is installed on the inside of the wall. The bronze collar is long enough to compensate the difference from one installation to the next. My biggest concern was the water pressure, since our plumbing doesn't have the best pressure to begin with. After installing, I found that it wasn't as much pressure as I'm used to. I was also concerned about removing the flow restrictor for fear the spray would be worse. One person mentioned to remove the small black O-ring, but I found this next to impossible without damaging the restrictor and making my new showerhead useless. I decided on just simply drilling an 1/8" hole in the middle of the 3 small plastic prongs of the flow restrictor. Now it's perfect. I gave it 5 stars because it looks and works perfect after this small modification.

This trim kit was exactly what I wanted except it's pressure was pretty wimpy. It installed easily for me because my old one was a Moen (1999 version) and I did not need a new valve. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because the pressure was wimpy. After reading another review, I saw that you can take out the small rubber gasket to increase the pressure a little. I then took a small drill bit and made the holes that were behind the gasket a bit larger and this gave it even more oomf.. It was a steal at the $43 when I purchased it. All in all, a good buy

It still looks as good as it did when first installed

These review is only on the handle, not the shower head. (We installed the handle to match the rest of our fixtures but kept our existing shower head as this one didn't seem as good) about 13 months ago in. It still looks as good as it did when first installed. I wipe it down after each use to keep it from getting water spots or build up and it looks great. However, the handle isn't flush with the circlular cover. It sits out from the cover about half an inch. Could potentially lead to mildew behind there since there's a gap. I thought it was installed incorrectly but the contractor came back out and checked it. It's just the way it is.

Good quality. Looks attractive. Unfortunately the lever doesn't sit flush against the back plate. Could be due to improper instal though.
