Moen handheld shower

I just installed this today and I like it. I should have checked more closely but I kind of wish it had different pattern settings but it only has the one. Installation was fairly easy. It comes with two toggle bolts; one for each attachment point. It requires you to drill a 5/8" hole (for hollow walls) or 5/16" (for studs) for each which was fairly easy with a tile hole saw. The hole ends up being a very snug fit for the toggle to fit through but some perseverance and wiggling finally gets it in. The finish of is very nice. The majority of it plastic but a good looking plastic. The hose is surprisingly nice in that it is flexible and hangs loosely and neatly. There is a flow restrictor inside the shower head which is easy to remove and put back. Water flow is considerably higher without it. In my case it was a little too much so I put the restrictor back in. I ordered the separate elbow for it as some reviewers suggested but I wished that hadn't. You really do not need it if you are satisfied removing your old shower head and just screwing the handheld shower hose to the shower arm itself. For me it was perfectly fine. i didn't want to battle with getting the exact right size brass nipple and getting the elbow to be flush with the wall. Of course if you are doing a remodel then it might be the best choice. You don't have to get the Moen version as long as it is a standard 1/2 inch connection. I would give this five stars if the price were better. It is a bit expensive for what it is. Overall I'm happy with it.

Bought Used but was brand new

Purchased "used" (at almost half price) but was brand new in box with all the parts still in factory bags. The slide bar was a little tricky to install, wanted to mount it high enough to mimic a traditional shower head. Ended up having to put one bracket on shower stall wall and one on the drywall above it. I had to make a spacer to compensate for the tickness of the shower stall. Ended up machining a piece of aluminum so it had a similar finish to the chrome fittings. Also make sure you put the wing anchor screw thru the slide bar and bracket, i forgot the bar and had to replace the wing nuts that fell into the wall.

Over priced. The hose limits where you stand in the shower. Entirely too short.

Really love this shower!

Easily adjust the height and angle of the shower when in the bracket, or use by hand. The hose is plenty long and flexible. The single function shower head model is fine unless you really like to change up the spray pattern. Not rated as a grab bar, it serves well for that purpose. I could have mounted this myself but opted to have our handyman do it because I would have had to drill through ceramic tile.

Installation

This is a great product. It does not have multiple spray settings. It is a broad full shower head that is not a hard pressure. This is what I wanted because you don't always want your hair wet. The very hard hitting shower heads bounce off and everything is wet. Installing the unit, you may not want to use the screws that come with it. Very long and require a larger hole than you may want to drill. But be sure you use stainless steel screws and washer because they are covered but will get wet. Moen is great because they stand behind their life time warranty.

Very nice quality slide bar shower set. Slide bar moves easily and smoothly and stays in place very well, unlike others I have used in the past in hotels and such.

Je viens d’installer ma barre coulissante pour douche à main et je suis déçu de la finition des deux bout car ils sont en plastique et la pression il y en a très peu comparativement à mon ancienne qui avait 15 ans je. Suis déçu des produit Moen pour le prix que j’ai payé
