Very Nice Light

This is a very nice, well made light, but unfortunately it doesn't come out from the wall far enough to be mounted over my medicine cabinet. From the product dimensions listed in the description, it should have fit, but those dimensions are not correct as far as the distance from the wall going front.

Love the light. Just wish it could be spaced off the wall a few more inches. Using the light with a wall mounted medicine cabinet just doesn’t cut it.

Really nice lights, very good quality

We bought 2 sets of these. They were ordered to replace the worlds ugliest builder-installed bathroom light bars ever made. These Moen light bars are exactly what I'd hoped for, just as described. The previous reviews for these were actually right. They arrived quickly, well packed, and my husband was able to install them very easily, in fact, the smoothest, quickest installation he's ever done. The quality is outstanding. The style is very clean--I'd call it transitional; it seems like it could complement almost any style. The globes are lightly frosted glass, not clear. They're substantial but not too heavy-looking. The light output is as much as I'd ever need--we used 60 watt equivalent LEDs, and I felt like I'd need my sunglasses the first time we turned them on. They turned on immediately with none of the hesitation that some LED lights have. I can't believe the difference these lights make. Didn't realize my bathroom counters are actually white and not beige. So glad to have found them here, as there is precious little in the way of good quality lighting to be had at local big box or fixtures stores. I hope they keep making these and stocking them, as they're much better than most others I've seen, and I may have to replace other light bars.

Expensive, large, fire hazard?

I bought this because it was in the collection my contractor was installing and it had 3 lights like the one he was replacing. Prrrroblem is its 25.5" wide at its widest part and I have a 24" vanity. So you're probably thinking oh well that's your fault. But I submit to you dear reader that there is zero reason for this to be this large. There is ample space between each of the glass shades as it is and with shorter and slimmer shades this could be less tha 24" wide easily and then it would fit directly over the millions of 24" vanities that are in a corner in probably the vast majority of the homes in america. I've not seen anyone put their bathroom vanity in the middle of their wall. My next issue with it is the cost. Why does this thing cost 163$?! Apparently they really think very highly of this made in china garbage because it's easily 3x more expensive than one I could have gotten off of amazon without the moen name on it. Yet again morn costs more and impresses less. The final issue I had is with their wiring design. They have 2 wires coming from each of the 3 lights, that they then wire nutted (tee hee) and electrical taped onto a 4th wire. Normally you would take and add your wall wire as the 4th wire but not with moen. They run their 4th wire and a ground into a molex connector which is then run to a single wire that you are supposed to wire nut (tee hee) to the wall. I know it's for easier connections but they seem to forget not everyone has unlimited space in their junction box nor is everyone using a 4" round box. Plus the more junctions you have the more points of failure you introduce and the greater the risk of fire.

The build quality is very good, better then most other lighting fixtures. One thing to watch is the length of the glass lampshades. They are long and hang down maybe about 7 inches below the electrical connection box. Make sure this is what you want and that they will not hit the top of the mirror. You can also install these "shades up" and throw most of the light at the ceiling. This fixture is designed to be mounted lighter way but 80% of the light goes in the direction of the shades, up or down. I used three Cree LED daylight bulbs (60W equivalent, 800 lumens each) and the light is very bring in the small bathroom. Use the warm light LEDs if you like but I wanted to show true color. The shades are long enough that a standard sized light bulb fits up inside is out of direct view.

Beautiful fixture

Beautiful fixture but returned, because it was too big for my area. But do recommend :)
