Great Product
I use this for crushing my husband's pills. Stick with the old fashioned way to do things. Works great! Don't buy those plastic pill crushers. They are useless. Don't buy electric pill crushers either as they cause a powdery cloud that you shouldn't inhale. This should have been my first choice.

Perfect little set.
This is the perfect little mortar and pestle. Very sturdy. It’s small enough to not take up too much room, but perfect for grinding some of the smaller spices I like, like cinnamon stick and cloves. After priming it with some rice flour it’s worked great so far. Would recommend.

good for certain things but not others
This mortar and pestle seems well made and sturdy, besides actually looking nice in the kitchen (i couldn't help but think of Ancient Greece doctors...). I bought it mainly for grinding pepper, and it did a very good job. It is easy to clean, as well. However, anything you'll need to smash with the pestle, rather than just pound, will not be well done; for garlic, for instance, a wooden one works way better. I'll keep it but continue to finely grate my garlic instead of pounding it

Perfect choice !!!!
Have wanted one of these for years. Read lots of reviews and did a lot of shopping before I finally decided to order this one. we'll----it was a great decision. It's perfect. The perfect size---not tiny but not too large. The gray marble is perfect. The pestal is also a perfect gray marble and fits the mortar well. The inside of the bowl is just rough enough but not too rough or pitted. It works great!!!!

just what I needed!
Great value, solid product, easy to clean, looks wonderful. Does not hold residue of whatever you previously crushed/worked with. Was/is exactly what I needed to use for crushing up my dogs med's so I am able to sprinkle it into her food. This makes things so much easier with no mess, fuss or fighting her to take her med's with her spitting out the pills and just eating the treat her med's were hiding in. I give kudos' to our Vet for the suggestion.

Sturdy but rough stone interior collects particles
This set is charming, and nicely sized for the purpose I bought this mortar & pestle -- crushing meds for my pet. However, the stone interior of the mortar is slightly rough, and while it doesn't absorb anything, the particles from the crushed tablets tend to stick and collect on it. It's easy enough to clean them out, and if I were using it for food preparation, it wouldn't much matter. But I worry that some percentage of the carefully formulated medications ends up being wasted. I replaced this with a stainless steel set that doesn't have this problem.

Perfect for small amounts of spices
This little guy is perfect for grinding up a tsp of coriander seeds or some peppercorns. A few stragglers do manage to jump ship but this size is so much easier to handle than my huge granite M&P. I *might* have been slightly happier with a 3.5 or 4" size, but this one works so far.

good for small jobs
Take heed of the listed measurements when ordering this item - it really is that small. I found that this to be a good size for crushing two or three cloves garlic, or a small amount of spices. Any more and a vigorous pounding would be likely to make the contents splash out the top.

Perfect, if you need a tiny Mortar and Pestle set.
It’s nice little set. The mortar and pestle are exactly as advertised. Small, but durable, and made with marble. Polished on the outside and unpolished on the inside.
