It works

If your mower is having a hard time engaging/disengaging the self-propel function, or won't start because the cable has stretched out and you're not clearing the safety - you may need this. Be sure to do your research and make sure this is the length you need. Be sure to install this at the top FIRST, and then pull the mower end of the cable (where the mower blade slide will attach on the mower to this cable) as far back as you can and either use a zip tie or have someone hold it back. Otherwise - you're fight the cable and likely stretch it out before you've even gotten to use it.

Perfect fit. Save your mounting screw though!

This is a direct replacement and it just screws on after you hook each end. It doesn't come with a new screw so be sure to save the one you have!

Not the right replacement part for my mower

Didn’t fit properly as I thought it would. I couldn’t return cable , because I tried to modify it to work so I have to eat the cost ????

It was very easy to install, started my lawn mower up right after and cut the grass.

Saved the mower that won't quit! I've had 10-15 other lawn mowers in my life but this one won't quit. The Scotts has been tearing it up an hour at a time since the late 90's and It deserved a new cable. If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that they won't make them like this again.
