Dream tool
I love this butterfly ratchet! This thing has a lot of power. You have the ability to adjust the air pressure going into the trigger. When cranked up it’s got a lot of guts, I’ve been surprised by the power this little guy puts out. When your working with more delicate alloys you turn the pressure to the trigger down and it’ll ease a bolt in. Tight areas this thing is a dream. Since I’ve gotten it 6 months ago it’s been the go to air tool for me. What ever project I’m working on the butterfly comes out of the drawer. Buy it.

Lever for forward and reverse is easy to use
This is one VERY FAST air tool. Lever for forward and reverse is easy to use. For a first time user for a butterfly impact this may take a little while to get used to, which side to hold down for on and which way to hold down for off. Once you get that is your memory good then this tool makes it very fast to work on removing nuts and bolts. Sure beats turning a ratchet with a socket attached to it. Took off and re-put together a bumper in lightning quick time span. Surprised me and a friend who only heard this butterfly whirling away as I did the task quickly. He commented later all I heard was whirl whirl whirl and before he knew it - all was quiet and then I was done and then looking over his shoulder kidding him with jokingly asking him " You ain't done your control arm yet, have you been napping over here". Truly amazed at the speed and time saving ability that this tool has. inch to two inch long bolts completely down tight within a second or two. It literally was zip bolt one - zip bolt two out, zip bolt three out, and the rebuild was very much the same. finger started as many of the bolts as I could before picking up this butterfly and then zip bolt one down , zip bolt two down, zip bolt three down and so on. 10,000 rpm is super quick. Mechanic friend uses his ratchet style to loosen a d tighten many bolts on jobs that you need to remove many things to get exchange a bad part, then uses the same tool to re-install all the other parts back on again, I see him and hear his slow air tool going wroo wroo wroo for like 9 seconds for each bolt about an inch long, and this butterfly does the same bolt in like a second or two seconds. I just smile at him and think to myself " Man he'll be there doing the same job for a lot longer time, than I would". If you have the room to use this tool for sheer time saving speed then why wouldn't you. I have better things to do than spend hours on a job that can be done in 1/8 of the time. Get R Done, Clean up the mess, and then move to the next job, or if that job was your only weekend task then you're done with plenty of time left to go do something that you really want to do. Like go look over the shoulder of your friend working and ask him " You ain't done yet, have you been napping over here".

Drivers works well but . . .
The first time I used this driver I could not get the socket off the tip no matter how hard I tried. I finally put the socket in the vise and smacked the driver hard with a dead blow hammer. It broke the tip off just past the ring clip. So now it’s usable but the sockets fall off easily. Other than that nightmare, it works fine.

Works as expected. Does not retain sockets
There were no instructions or maintenance guides; just a parts list almost too small to read. I ordered this to replace a Campbell-Hausfeld TL1017 which quit working. The Neiko 30088A appears to be identical to the TL1017. A major irritation is the retaining ring does not expand enough to hold a socket. Looking at some of the other reviews: Don't order one of these expecting to loosen wheel lug nuts or any but the smallest fasteners (rusty or not). For example, if you are facing rusty, road-salt corroded, under-car suspension bolts and nuts, you'll want to consider at least a full-size 1/2 inch impact wrench, a good set of impact sockets, and plenty of penetrating oil. (But then, if you live in the Northeast you already know what I mean.) The main advantage of these Butterfly drivers is their compact size, and rotating hose connection. They are great for engine compartment work where space is tight.

Works as expected
Works as expected, though I have not used it enough to comment on long term reliability. If I wanted to nitpick, it would be that the retaining ring that hold the socket on holds it to securely, to the point that it is a minor struggle to get sockets on and off. I'm hopeful that this will get easier with use and a little wear. Overall I think it is a very nice wrench for the money and I would buy it again.

Good tool for the price.
I have only used the tool a couple of times and seems to do the job, the only reason I gave it a 4 is because you have press the paddle in just the right spot to get the correct operation.

It's okay for what it is
Talked to a mechanic about getting a ratchet, he said he can do pretty much anything with a butterfly wrench. So I picked this up. Sadly it us very under powered. I didn't expect great things, but so far I haven't been able to break much of anything loose under the truck. As long as I use a breaker bar I can then use this to zip the bolts out and back on then torque. Seems to be pretty good build quality and is nicely balanced for it's size. So just keep in mind your application and how much power you need. It's boom or bust... depends on your use.
