Fun toy!!
So happy we got two of these for nerf battles around the house. Making memories with the kids make this purchase worth every penny. It shoots pretty straight and is a great gift. It’s fairly easy to use but a little harder to pull back for the smaller kids.

Awesome find. A bit tight initially but after a few rounds, smoothens out.
Got it for my son who is now getting into age where kids like to aim and throw things. Primary objective is to allow him to learn to aim and not point dangerous things at other people. Had difficulty in cocking it initially but he got round it in a day or so. The thing is surprisingly accurate for about 10-15 feet. Mine goes about an inch to the left at 12 Ft from the target.

Won the war!
Purchased these as birthday gifts for a couple of my son's friends. The party was at a local park where the kids had a capture the flag nerf war. The boys were very please with these guns and they load quickly. Highly recommend these over any of the battery powered versions.

Averages 68 FPS; Widely acclaimed and affordable Nerf side-arm blaster.
Seriously, this is cool to have in any Nerf Arsenal. The reiteration of the legendary pistol blaster, the Nerf Maverick. Behold, the almighty Strongarm. The blaster that helped make "slam-fire" a popular Springer's function today (For slam-fire just hold the trigger down, then pull the slide repeatedly to fire shots in rapid succession). But does it measure up to other comparable blasters in my Chronograph testing? According to the dart velocities measured in FPS (feet per second) with my ProChrono Digital chronograph, it clocked in at highest 75 FPS, and lowest 62 FPS after 6 shots. Compared to it's "sister"-blaster model, the Nerf Rebelle Spylight scored it's highest at 80 FPS, and lowest at 66 FPS. These numbers were consistent after testing several different Strongarms and a few Spylights several times each. But being slightly weaker than a girl's blaster does not take away much from the blaster, for it is not as sloppy and feels more durable than it's sister operation. Most will prefer the appeal of the macho look and size that it offers anyway. As an update, there is this white and blue XD version (that is a blue stripe on a white Strongarm, as opposed to the blue Strongarm with a white stripe) with longer advertised distances. My blue one still performed better on the chronograph using the current wide variety of Nerf Elite darts (they are all able to shoot the blue, green, decorated Rebelle, white, and now orange darts), but the average was not that far off: Averaged velocity of standard Elite- 69 FPS, Averaged velocity of XD- 67 FPS. Average velocity between both... 68 FPS... It is suspected that each blaster has it's own unique quirks, perhaps I just got a lemon XD blaster, but regardless of the circumstances what you are really paying for is the psychological advantage and a crummy paint job (my XD looks cheap and painted by either a novice, or someone in a rush to finish the job). If you are using this as a primary, you are out of luck. There are many other improved versions of the Strongarm on the market today. The first two evolutions of it being the Zombistrike FlipFury (two times bigger with 2-barrel/12 darts) and the Zombiestrike Doominator (four times bigger with 4-barrel/ 24 darts). Otherwise, remember this to be a sidearm. A primary like the Retaliator or Stryfe have the CS (Clip System, which is really a magazine system or "Clipazines") that gives you upwards from 18-round mags to 35-dart drums, all easier to reload when playing and quicker on the fly under pressure. But I digress; buy whatever you feel comfortable with and use what you can afford. The Strongarm has always been a reliable blaster, and can be even stronger with help from an Orange Mod Works "Unleased Solid, Final Stage" upgrade kit at the current market price of $24.99. I know, twice the cost and the shipping, and then the labor of installation, that makes it very not worth the cost of the blaster. But it becomes a beast, so think about that before you buy a Strongarm sidearm. As an update, 1-8-2018 and both of my Strongarms are still working as intended. They have been through many Nerf Wars with inexperienced children and experienced users alike and still shoot a good distance. These Nerf pistols tend to last the test of time more gracefully than their cheaper knockoff counterparts by other brands (Dart Zone, Buzzbee, etc.), in which I must report, have failed and broke shortly after purchasing them. Not like my Strongarm’s, but I will return to report when they too finally kick the bucket, just let it be known that these sidearms are still going strong.

The Sleeper Nerf Blaster for Dads
Dads: Sure, you'll be outmatched, likely outwitted and certainly outnumbered. But you won't be outgunned! If you're like me, it's all too often that you find yourself the target of an unrelenting squad of bloodthirsty soldiers a fraction of your height, weight and age, yet possessing of agility, stamina and commitment to the game that is many, many multipliers beyond your own capabilities. Outmatched by children with no sense of fear, and no evident ability to parse "not in the face/not in the crotch", you'll appreciate any advantage you can get. That's why you'll love the Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm. Why is this for dads? It's a sleeper: They won't even see it coming. They won't take you seriously. They will regret it. It's accurate: They'll think you were aiming for their body and missed because you're a worse shot than a Stormtrooper with his mask on backwards, and that you couldn't get them anyway because they're Neo from The Matrix [replace with reference from this millennium]. But you'll know that you punched that dart directly through the space you aimed for, slow-mo green and black streaky bullet-time computer graphics tracing its path in your mind's eye, confident in the knowledge that the dart would go exactly where you willed it to go, every time. And also, because you, a grown-up for Pete's sake, wouldn't actually shoot a child, not even with a soft Nerf-branded projectile, no matter how totally obnoxious and--objectively speaking--hateful Jayden or Max or Ryder or whatever their name is might be... Why is it this good for kids too? We've amassed an embarrassingly large Nerf arsenal and though this isn't much to look at, it's my go-to for target practice and battles alike. Kids inevitably grab the Mega Twinshock --Nerf Mega Twinshock Toy -- first, but they always come around to the Strongarm. Slam Fire: It has a semi-automatic rapid-fire mode (they call it "slam fire") that allows you to fire darts as quickly as you can pump it. No Jams: It has never jammed on us. Like, ever. Ridiculously accurate: Keeping in mind that it is a toy, the accuracy is still far beyond what you should reasonably expect. Quick reloads: the rotating barrels flip open to allow for quick reloads. Pro tip: When the barrels are engaged it's easy to quietly slide new darts into the empty slots on either side of the active barrel; handy if you're in a situation where your opponent is counting your shots. What have I become?

Only shoot 10 feet perfectly by targeting
Not 70 meters only 40 feet. Very good built toy for kids and it is very safe.

Fun Toy Gun
Fun little gun, first time ever owning one after trying nerf guns at friend's places when I was kid. Seems to be pretty accurate and, rapid fire is very easy with this gun. Got this gun alongside the hammershot which is another fantastic nerf gun, possibly better than the strongarm, hoping to dual wield. Unfortunately you need two hands with the strongarm, or get creative using your arm to slide the hammer, as one hand is needed to slide the hammer back unlike the hammershot which has a proper hammer for one handed use. Deducted one star was the strongarm doesn't feel as substantial as the hammershot in regards to build quality, the plastic doesn't feel cheap however the manner the hammeshot is built makes it feel more durable.

Quite satisfied with these.
Bought as a Christmas gift for my nephew. Gave them (bought 2) a few test fire's and the dart's fly quite nice. The rotating drum; when 'open' to load darts, does seem like a break-point and pushing it closed at the center of the dart drum is def. the way to go (v.s pushing it closed from the hinge ends). Nice toy's for the price, here's hoping he get's some fun out of them.

Durability is awesome... best nerf elite performance ever
