Work well

Filters are always a compromise between filtration effectiveness and strain on the HVAC system. These are a good median for my system. These filters would need to have a stronger frame for finer filtration meshes, else they would be sucked into the ducting

Higher Quality Construction

Unlike almost every brand name available, these filters have a mesh metal screening on both sides. Additionally, they really do eliminate dust and and pet dander. I will never spend more money to buy 3M or any other filters that don't do as well as these.

Perfect fit - Learn about actual vs nominal sizes and order the correct filter.

I saw several reviews question the size of the 18x24x1 claiming to be too small. These people need to learn about nominal size vs actual size. Just google it... it's not hard The new house has 18x24x1 nominal return grate, and these filters fit perfectly. Nominal vs. Actual Air Filter Size Air filters come in many shapes and sizes and are referred to in different ways; Nominal size and Actual size. Let's talk about the difference in these sizes. Actual Size: This is the exact dimensions of the air filter. For example, when you measure your filter you may find that it measures 15-1/2" x 24-1/2" x 7/8" (15.5" x 24.5" x .875"). This size is important to know, but unfortunately, most air filters are not labeled this way. Most filters (but not all) are a slight bit smaller than the size they are labeled as. That's where the Nominal Size comes in. Nominal Size: This is the size that the air filter is labeled as, so the 15-1/2" x 24-1/2" x 7/8" (15.5" x 24.5" x .875") in our previous example would be labeled as a 16x25x1, this is the filter's nominal size and how you would order it.

Smaller Than Other Brands

Buyer beware. These filters are smaller than other brands. This may not be a problem for some applications. The filters in my Florida home are located behind the ceiling air return grills. They need to fit snugly against the sides to hold them up to the duct opening and prevent air from bypassing the filter. The Filtrete filters I replaced are 17.81 x 23.81 x 0.78 inches and fit very well. These filters are 17.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. In both cases, the descriptions on Amazon are accurate - I did not notice the difference until I installed them. I have applied foam weatherstrip tape to the sides of the filters to take up the difference. I have used other Nordic Pure filters for our northern home furnace (vertical installation in the return duct) and they have been just fine. I also find it odd that the name Nordic Pure (or any other manufacturer) is not on these filters. Other than the size issue, they seem to be a good value.

Great looking filters, made in the USA is a bonus. Quality and fit was perfect. I always get 3m brand but I'm glad I tried these because I love them and I'll be buying them again when I need more.

Getting Merv 12 for the price of Merv eight and most other manufacturers

I have purchased some Merv eight earlier last year and the suppliers around my home early college forum and I don’t think that I’m over 12 filtrate is any better than the Nordic out air 12 and half the price

Good product. The sizes are accurate as mentioned in description. Fits well in my furnace. These are just the bit smaller size i wanted. Only downside, they took longtime to arrive. But the product is perfect size for me. Thanks.
