Polite bell ????️!
Everyone could hear me driving behind them and get out of the way, moments after I ring the bicycle bell. It’s not one of those bells that startle people. it has its own polite way of saying “get the hell outta my way”, but nicely. ???? That’s it. Simple to install and use. All you need to install it comes with it.. happy ridding!

Broke during installation
The main housing for this bell is plastic. You have to stretch it open during installation to fit around your handlebars. The manufacturer is sending out a replacement for the defective product. Glad for this as I like the design and product. I have one of the same product on another bike and am very happy with it.

4 stars for bell volume. 5 stars for design
Not as loud as other traditional bells but given the size\design, this is a good compromise.

The coolest looking bike bell out there
I bought this bell in the summer of 2018; it's 2019 now and I'm giving my year-long tested review. The reason I got this - I'm in NYC, and in the last few years as biking has become increasingly popular with younger riders, specifically teenagers who get together in groups and do "ride-outs", which for those who are unfamiliar with the term, is dozens of people swarming the streets at once on their bikes and basically taking over all lanes of traffic. Because of this, the NYPD has been cracking down on bicycle safety, and people have been getting tickets for not having proper equipment, or the worst case scenario, getting their bikes seized for dangerous riding. I'm a BMX rider, so I set out to make sure I have all the proper items on my bike so I would not run into trouble. I know it is unorthodox for a BMX to have all safety gear required by NYC equipped on it (people usually strip everything down off these types of bikes for weight), but I'd rather have this cool looking bell than pay a fine for not having it. The bell itself - I absolutely love the design of it. I'm surprised it hasn't existed sooner. And even though I could have bought any random cheapie bell just for my bike to be street legal, I specifically got the Knog Oi. I know there are tons of counterfeits floating around since it came out, but I truly appreciate the design and engineering that went into this bell. The original creators deserve their recognition and should get the benefits. It has a pleasant tone that is clearly audible; although on a very noisy NYC street it can be easily drowned out. In more suburban or rural areas it should be fine though. The bell's ringer is very stable on it's springs and I haven't had any instance where it went off unless I hit a really rough patch or a pothole. The only complaint about the mounting is that the instructions specifically tell you not to overtighten the screw; so over time it will get loose and the bell will move. Not a big deal, so aside from invariable re-tightening of the screw, there's nothing wrong with this bell to knock any stars off it for. The packaging - The packaging looks great and there's no complaints there. However, I had no idea the bell came with it's own hex key (alan wrench). I found it inside the box only after looking around for special instructions about what hex size the screw takes after trying to use every wrench I had and none of them fit. I'm guessing the screw is either specific to the Knog Oi, or perhaps it is some kind of Australian metric size that isn't common in the United States. Either way, it's not a big deal, but there's nothing on the packaging that says the hex key is included. I had no idea it came with one at all. But if you're wondering, it is found under the inset holder that the bell sits in inside the box. Overall, this is just the coolest looking bike bell out there and perfectly compliments an aggressive looking BMX bike. If you're looking for a bell just to get your bike up to code to be street ridable and roadworthy, this is the one. Excellent invention and excellent product!

Wouldn't purchase again.
I decided to try a new style and wish I would have stayed with the previous one. In order to ring the bell you need to push it down and it only rings once. I was not aware of that. I'll use it until it wears out and order the old style.

Decent Minimalist Bell
I got the standard (non-luxe) bell as the all-black version appears more stealthy to me. It's an excellent choice it you want to eliminate bulk or need to integrate a bell on a handlebar with limited available space. The sound is sufficient. Not the loudest, but loud enough to signal effectively. The hammer is also quite responsive. Would love to see an all-black luxe version in the future as as I'm not the most keen on the plastic feel. Overall: A nice form factor, sound, and price. I hope to run this for a long time.

GREAT PRODUCT

Installed on six weeks ago, now useless.
The media could not be loaded. The bell looks the part, goes well with my matte black paint job. I thought it was loud but on London’s busy roads/cycle paths it’s very quiet and I cycle up close to people quicker than they hear the bell. This aside, it’s lasted six weeks. The spring is cheap and flimsy and now it’s completely out of place leaving me bell-less.

Buy something, anything, else, please.
Buy something else, seriously. The bell rattles, leading to a constant tinkling background noise that get incredibly frustrating after mere seconds of riding. The bell itself isn't particularly loud, completely unable to cut through the hubbub of a mothers-meeting blocking a cycle path and leading me to have to whistle to get their attention. The clapper lasted less than a week. The spring is of poor quality in the first place, only held in place with a dab of epoxy, and once used a few times it bends back away from the bell as to be rendered completely useless. If you manage to snag it on anything, it comes apart. The spring irrevocably stretches and the epoxy comes unstuck from the absolutely tiny plastic clip meant to keep it in place. Avoid at all costs other than aesthetics, and buy anything else that serves the same function.

A bell is a bell is a bell
Nearly £14 for a bell which does the same job as much cheaper items? You may think that the design justifies the price, I don't. Yes it looks good and only takes up a small amount of space on the handlebars but considering performance, looks, volume of sound and overall quality feel of the item I'd say it simply isn't worth the money. For the record, it arrived quickly and does the job it's supposed to ... but at a much greater cost than many alternatives. Am I unhappy? - not particularly. Am I happy that I bought the Knog? No Value for money? Not in my opinion

Great bell
This Knog bell is excellent. Easy to install and works very well. Also, it lasts well, original one over two years old now. It is a MUCH BETTER BUY than the other more expensive, smarter, shinier looking Knog bells. Get this one at half the price of the other Knog bells which fail. This bell is good and recommended.
