Yearly present for my dad
My dad is a bigger guy so finding any clothing or shoes for him is a challenge but year after year, I buy him these. After a long day of work, he changes over, slips on these slippers and chills in his chair. Are they expensive? Absolutely.... does he love them? Absolutely. For $100 a year, I consider it a great investment. They'd probably last longer than a year but his dog seems to love them also and chews on them.

Unfortunately too heavy☹️
The design of the slipper is what my dad needed as his the top of his feet are extremely swollen and painful. Unfortunately they were too heavy for him. I wish I could find this design in a lighter slipper.

is very well made and comfortable.
i feel there's nothing to dislike. even with everyday wear, they really wear and last a long time. are surely worth the money.

Worth it!
Yes, they're pricey. But, they are perfect - comfortable and long-wearing. I have been buying these for my husband for many years. When he 'kills' a pair, I buy another. I tried substituting a less expensive pair after the first purchase, but it was a no-go. And, when my father saw my husband wearing these, he insisted on a pair too! When the do wear out, it is always in the same way ... the sole separates from the front toe. That takes a few years and I expect it could be fixed - but, by then, they are otherwise trashed from my husband wearing them every day for every thing!

This particular "Old Friend" model slipper is the ONLY one that BIG WIDE feet can use.
For awhile this slipper was unavailable, reason unspecified. But, eventually it became available again, although the color was darker than two earlier purchases thru the years. The ONLY slipper that fits truly BIG and WIDE feet (13eee) comfortably. Other Old Friend models with closed end toe don't come wide enough.

My 3rd pair!
I am on my 3rd pair of these slippers. They are exactly what I need for open wounds on both of my feet. They can be adjusted according to the amount of bandages . They are very comfortable And the soles hold up well even with trips to the mailbox.

Go ahead walk on a cloud!
If you require a slipper which prevents toe smash these are the ones!! I have narrow feet and can not stand having my toes smashed into small fitting slippers. The Velcro wrap works fantastic! I can adjust them as needed. The REAL sheepskin is like walking on a cloud. They take some getting used to when walking as the heel tends to rise out of them. I call it the breaking in period as they do not rise out so much anymore. I like the fact that I can go outside and not worry about getting the bottoms wet as my old slippers used to. If you have sensitive feet the surround sheepskin is a great plus. I even like the look...it grows on you :) They breath so I do not notice sweating in them even in the summertime.

Great for a senior
My father has difficulty putting on shoes. These are operated with a Velcro closure and makes it much easier for him. His 91 year old feet are not in good shape and this is the only type of slipper that he can use.

A positive update of my earlier review -- "Feel great but the sole separated after 7 months"
I emailed "Old Friend Slippers" explaining the sole of the slipper was separating from the body. It would be a short time before the slipper caught on something ripping the sole off. And, over time it would continue to separate. Seven months had passed since I'd made the purchase and well past the return policy date. I wrote asking if they could recommend a product to "glue" the sole back in place. I received a call from a head office customer service representative who reviewed my complaint. He said they would provide a full refund - not a pro-rated refund but the full amount! Needless to say I was, and am, very impressed with this company. A credit was deposited to my account and I used that refund to purchase a new pair of their slippers. With severe arthritis these slippers with their open toe design, sheepskin lining, and velcro closure eliminates pressure on my foot and toe and does not build up heat. It's easy for a company, especially on-line, to hide behind a "faceless" return policy even where a defect exists. This company "stepped-up-to-the- plate", to use a baseball analogy, and made good when they could have denied me. Old Friend Slippers demonstrated they are an excellent company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They make a wonderful product that they stand behind! Sincerely, David G.

Excellent Slipper
These slippers appear to be well made. Purchased for my dad who has quite a bit of foot and ankle swelling. They are easy to put on, able to adjust to accommodate change in foot swelling, easy to walk in, and not too hot. Expensive slipper, but as long as they last they were worth the money.
