Great replacement to the Toro that is no longer available.
Great replacement to the Toro that is no longer available. Took about one hour to dig out the old 20 year old Toro that quit working and make the necessary adjustments on this Orbit. I will buy again when needing another.

BEST SPRINKLER ON THE MARKET
We have acres of lawn, alfalfa, rhubarb gardens... all on scheduled watering zones. Our original system served only some of this... with substantial faults which we were eventually able to overcome by replacing our original impact popups with the Voyager II. Much has been learned, and much has been tried. But much research finally compelled us to experiment with the Voyager II, and it has since exceeded our best hopes in every application, and become our go-to sprinkler head. Why? The original installation was not properly distributed to avoid areas of lawn die-off in the hottest parts of summer. Equally bad, the original (and later) impact popups fail to equally distribute water across their radii... and this too resulted in radial patterns of die-off in an otherwise gorgeous lawn. I first decided to try the Voyager II on 60-inch stanchions in an experimental alfalfa field I planted around our trout pond. We now have a jungle of alfalfa and giant red clover. The reach of these heads is phenomenal. They come with a great variety of nozzles... advertising coverage radii as great as 52 feet. Read the specifications carefully however — that prospective coverage is delivered with just one of the many nozzles, and a single sprinkler head per zone only. It's a proverbial fire hose. For most deployments, the original nozzle is going to perform about the best (I've tried them all). It's rectangular in shape, but emits a literal vertical wall of water across its whole radius, leaving no unwatered parts. We get a 42-foot watering radius at 45 PSI with the Voyager II and this standard nozzle... while a variety of impact popup brands and nozzles typically reach a maximum of 22 to 26 feet (depending on brand and nozzle) on the same system. In other words, the phenomenal radii and full distribution of water across the Voyager II radii allowed us to make up for substantial faults in the prior system design, and to cover phenomenal areas from each zone. Somehow, the watering pattern is so superior, that all our brown spots disappear under the Voyager II. Ultimately it was obvious that the limited and inconsistent coverage of our original impact and other heads could be solved by replacing them with the Voyager II. With the supplied nozzle, every Voyager II watering head now overlaps areas which were not even reached by the previous system. Because of the faulty distribution we came to recognize, I'll never use an impact sprinkler again... and I doubt that even far into the future, the spray radius of the Voyager II can be much improved upon. Our whole yard is a beautiful green now. One thing to understand however: High winds can blow such a long radius significantly off course. We get some really high winds. But the long and short of it is that your decision is whether to suffer the uncovered areas and lawn-brown... or see your whole watering pattern shifted or much of it blown away in preclusive conditions. To be bothered by the latter would be akin to complaining we might shut our system down when it rains. Incidentally, our system is supplied by a well at 45 psi producing upward of 20 GPM; distributed via buried 1-inch schedule 40 PVC thru separate Orbit 6 and 9-station timers, manifolds, and valves; with every low point featuring an Orbit automatic drain valve.

Works great, wish it had a half inch connection like other sprinkler products
This has just transformed being able to water my lawn. All the general sprinkler heads you can buy at Lowe’s or Home Depot are mediocre at best & are noisy & don’t mist well. The only issue I ran into was that I built our sprinkler system myself with PVC and home sprinkler connections. I ended up having to buy two different connections to size up from the smaller PVC connection to this (sizing from 1/2” to 3/4” with sprinkler system threading - so a 1/2” female to female then a male 1/2” to male 3/4” - both made by Orbit that I purchased from Lowe’s + 2 rubber O rings to keep from leaking - maybe there was a female 1/2” to male 3/4” but I couldn’t find one - y’all know how pipe fittings go.) I did note that some other sprinkler heads that have a professional 3/4” connection also contain a reduced 1/2” connection. The head I had before supported both - wish that was the case with this one- and for the record, I’m getting plenty of pressure even with the smaller half inch connection feeding the water into the head. So, kind of felt like a jab against us do it our self types that don’t wanna spend thousands of dollars for somebody else to install our sprinkler system. Now, I just need to make sure my husband doesn’t ruin this head with the mower again. But I’ll probably buy this identical head again if he does do it ????

Way better than Rainbird
I've struggled with rainbird for years. Finally tried these and what a difference. Easy to set/adjust, and each one comes with an adjustment tool and a set of different nozzles, MUCH better

Great, but diffusion screws, filters and nozzles can be trouble.
Without a doubt: Losing the diffusion screw is darn near unavoidable to rookies and vets alike. How to install a different nozzle? Good luck. Clear as mud. My ending opinion? I still like them and use them. Just why you can't order a bag of diffusion screws from Orbit or Amazon escapes me. Would be so simple. I'm not a one out. MOST buyers experience this with this product at some time. Come on, Orbit. Get up to speed and offer a little pack of diffusion screws. Oh and did I mention the filter? I dare you: Find it, clean it. I bought brand new ones just so I could look at the filter assembly. STILL CAN'T FIND IT. ha. PITA, but it does do a nice job. Maybe there's a YouTube video on these things because some of the instructions are a mystery. Guess I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box.

Best irrigation products.
I have used Orbit, Toro, Rain Bird and Hunter rotors. I had not run my 8 zone irrigation system for over 8 years due to a broken manifold and bad valves. When I decided to get the system up and going I inspected the 45 heads I have in rotors, pop-ups and shrubbery heads. The one thing I noticed was that the Orbit professional products were in the best condition for their age when compared to the other brands. Most of the other brand products had suffered sun damage to the top of the heads making radius and arc adjustment impossible to accommodate the changes in the landscaping layout over the years. I have replaced about 80% of the heads so far. One rotor was defective but a replacement was sent out same day and return postage paid by Amazon. The Orbit products are easy to adjust and install. Adjustment after installation is very easy unlike some of the other products I have used. The rotors come with a big selection of various nozzles and adjustment tool. They have a good warranty. The durability, ease of use and low price make them the only line I would use. One thing I would recommend is that in areas where the head can be run over by cars or rider mowers or stepped on is to put them on flex pipe. It is simple to do. I did this years ago and it has prevented almost all the damage to the heads and in-ground piping that happened frequently especially along the edge of my curved driveway.

Good sprinkler, but instructions for set up are difficult to understand
The sprinkler works great. The difficulty is the printed set up instructions on the sprinkler pamphlet. I went on line and watched the Orbit Voyager II video on U tube. It was OK, but eventually found a really good video, that explained it. Notes to self. 1. The initial set up location is critical. Make sure you have set it up from where you want the sprinkler to start, before turning the water on. 2. Be prepared to get wet! Hey, its summer! 3. Did you know that to change the actual nozzle there is a handy dandy tool, that stops the nozzle disappearing back into the ground when the water is turned off. Who knew. Would have been nice to show this on the pamphlet, or even include it (things are bloody expensive enough!). 4. Did I mention to be prepared to get wet? Oh, and try to stop the dog from jumping and drinking the sprinkler. Me and the wet dog (Bobbi, the Black Lab) went back to the house at the end of this and got into trouble from her majesty! 5. Neighbourhood kids are also very good at dancing in it! 6. Had a ball setting this up! Talked to all sorts of people going by! Even had a cop stop to see if I was alright , when lying on the ground screwing it onto the riser!

Great sprinkler head
Great 360 lawn sprinkler, I wanted something inexpensive and that would cover my yard with just one head, i currently just have some pex pipe buried in the ground with an old laundry connector hose that’s both female ends chopper off connected to a 40 dollar timer and I couldn’t be happier no need to spend tons of money, I have about 80 dollars invested and some sweat but it waters my grass well and for winter I’ll just blow out the water with a compressor

Very good product and value
Good value. This item was cheaper to purchase from Amazon than my hardware store. It come with bonus key and extra spray nozzels which I would have had to purchase separately. In any case thumbs up for the product
