Strong stuff, but makes gravel fly!

It's great for cutting weeds and grass far from the house, but I used it where there was gravel... $400 for the replacement window and a couple holes in the vinyl siding (could've been so much worse). The original DR Trimmer line didn't throw stones at the house, so I wouldn't recommend this for 150' or less from glass!

Heavy Duty?

.170 inch is bigger than .155 inch but not as rugged as Oregon's .155 inch trimmer line. It could be a low demand size that has been too "aged" in the seller's warehouse.

excellent product

Arrived quickly and as described. Thank you! This is an excellent, excellent product and eats up briers, goldenrod, thistles, milkweed and other brush. Very suitable for use in the areas where the brush hog can't get.

Beast line

Great all purpose line

The Oregon round line is so much more durable than the square. The square is too aggressive and it catches objects and breaks off so you have to keep shutting the machine down and changing the line. Smooth line is the best for a DR field trimmer in my opinion.

lasts longer than the.155 on thick blackberry saplings

This is noticeably thicker than .155, yet was able to attach to my Remington push trimmer without having to bend the metal (slide through the sides instead of going through the back and pulling). I bought this strictly for blackberry bushes and was satisfied with the length of time between line changes compared to the .155. the.155 cuts through tall grass no problem, yet i noticed less bog down when going through a few areas i missed while using this line. I will buy again
