Strong, tight hinges, good magnets except for one

The subject line says it all. The one little bone I have to pick is that the large, wide chip clip is sufficiently heavy that the magnet will not hold it onto the refrigerator. But I could glue another magnet on later I guess.

Durable

These are great. Durable and strong, they don't feel brittle at all and the clips hold tight. Haven't been disappointed by OXO brand items yet.

Purchased this set so I could get the three bread bag clips. Those little things are GLORIOUS. The other clips are nice too. Durability is good. Bright colors make them pretty easy to find after the kids wander off with them and play with them for a few hours. But the bright colors may also be responsible for the wandering off in the first place, so its a give-and-take.

Sturdy clips

These are much sturdier than your average bag clips. We use a ton of these types of clips in various price points in our kitchen and most of them are made of thin, cheap plastic that tends to fall apart sooner or later. I can tell these will last quite a bit longer because the plastic is nice and thick. As for the magnets, I agree with some other reviewers that they are on the weaker side, but that's not an issue in my book. The thing to realize is that the magnets are simply meant to hold the weight of the clip itself for storage. We keep them on the side of our fridge for easy access. They are not meant to be used for hanging up sheets of paper, your family photos or anything at all really. They're made for sealing bags and staying out of the way when not in use. If you want something to hang up weighty objects you can get clips like that for much cheaper in most office supply stores.

Great for keeping food fresh.

These OXO clips are perfect for keeping air out and freshness in chips, French fry or large bags of veggies. The magnet part isn’t as great. The magnet doesn’t quite attach to my refrigerator. I like to a art attach a calendar and invites and to the front door of my fridge. It’s curved.
