Well designed

Having done a great many upgrades to my kitchen lately, I decided it was time to retire the old paper towel holder. The old paper one was 30-years-old, and it looked every bit of it. I like the sleek, modern design of this paper towel holder because it goes well with my new industrial Chic faucet.

OXO makes another great product!

I purchased two of these OXO paper towel holders: one for the kitchen and the other for a bathroom. They are working great! The side gadget that holds the paper towels in place is wonderful. It keeps the roll from unwinding when you're not using it. It also helps hold the paper towels when you tear off a sheet. It lets you tear off a sheet using only one hand. The bottom has rubber around the edge that really grips the countertops well. I really like the way these work! They cost a little more, but I think they are worth the extra cost.

Love the product, but internal spring broke and you cannot repair

Have had the product a little over a year and the internal spring mechanism broke when a paper towel was ripped down too hard. You cannot fix the internal spring mechanism once it breaks (I ripped the base apart to try) as its connected by two plastic loops, one of which breaks to cause the failure.

Its everything!

Best paper towel dispenser that sits pretty on my counter. The lever to stop paper towels from hanging everywhere is durable but very flexible. Been looking for one of these forever. Price was just right.

Should have bought it long ago

I have no idea why we didn't just buy this before. Keeps the paper towel roll off the counter, and therefore dry on the bottom. Allows for a one-handed pull to get a paper towel.

Amazing

Our last paper towel holder broke. Only by spinning the middle rod. This turns with the perfect amount of resistance to only pull one sheet. The pressure resistance arm helps keep the roll in place and also only pull one sheet. It’s exactly what we were looking for in a replacement.

The napkin lock is not firm enough

I thought the latch would be better, tough. But being a light product does not do exactly what it need. But if you like the "looser" napkin paper, you'll like it.

Very Well Made

This smart looking Paper Towel Holder is very sturdy. It feels weighted, so it does not slip an inch on the countertop. With he side grip, you can dispense one paper towel, with one hand at a time, with ease. It's easy to clean. A welcome addition to my kitchen.

nice looking, 1 hand tear design

The paper towel holder is finished very nicely. It looks classy, not cheap materials. The size is also ok, not too bulky and not too wide. It will take up counter space, so for those who have little counter space, you may want to consider those that hang by the cabinets. It is just the right amount of weight, it does not slide around my counter despite me pulling it with force. My biggest concern is the 1 hand tear. I looked thru several brands that claim to have this feature and tried OXO as it had good reviews. I think I was doing it wrong for some time so I had a hit or miss experience with the 1 hand tear. I tried jerking it really fast, tearing it backward, and finally tearing it forward (with a downward motion)- this worked best. The handle holding the paper down won't have that tight of a grip once the paper towel is less than half of the roll. Overall, worthy buy.

Easy and controlled paper towel holder

This paper towel holder with arm is perfect! It is easy to tear off one piece or more and it controls the paper towels from falling all over the place. I love it!
