Nice ream (500 sheets) of drawing paper
I like this size for drawing and planning stages of other works. I saw some reviews of sulphite drawing papers and they claimed the paper was not 50 lb weight. This size sheet was probably cut from much larger sheets of paper which 500 sheets of weighed 50 lbs..... of course small sheets cut from larger sheets won't weigh 50 lbs even 500 of them. The sheets are not very thin they have good body and are smooth finished so not a toothy surface although not hot pressed either but smooth enough for markers and colored pencil. However, as I expected, using water and a brush caused the paper to buckle but not a lot when the water was lightly applied only when I used a loaded brush of water. So better for dry media or markers. I thought it a great bargain for the price.

Feels,thinner than the stated weight
It works for what I purchased it for….which was for littles to draw on. I also wanted it for painting, but it feels a bit thin for that. I will update when we try paints on it.

Buy this paper for your kids who love to draw
500 sheets for this price? I dont know why people are complaining, this paper is excellent for my kids art classes! Although the packaging was flimsy and had no separate packaging for shipping, so had some crumpled sheets and the plastic wrap were torn at some edges but I wouldn’t complain for this price! Its good for kids who love to draw and use endless sheets of paper

Does not feel like 50 lb paper
I would recommend trying the heavier pound paper. Feels only slightly thicker than copy paper

This Paper is Great for Crafts
I bought this paper a second time because my kids love the size and the feel of the paper. It is great to draw on.

Poor Packaging
The paper seems fine, though it doesn't really hold up to paint (I KNOW it's labelled as drawing paper but I was hopeful it was somewhat multipurpose). It's packaged in thin plastic film, and then in a plastic Amazon bag, which is then thrown on my porch. The thin page had split at a seam and the stack was starting to fan out and some pages got damaged. I'm a teacher and the price was right for 500 pieces LOL
