Cute

This is super good quality which I expect from Totes brand. The handle is absolutely comfortable to hold and my hands do not tire holding this. It's fun to have a conversation piece as this stands out from the norm. My only disappointment was the color themes are weird. I know this is using up fabric that would typically go into landfills. I deeply appreciate this. However, the company could be more thoughtful with fabric coordination. The one we were sent has brown and purple and green hues. Normally these tones can work together but the fabrics are simply so opposite from each other that mine is more dizzying than enjoyable. For example ours has a crayon purple fabric with rainbow letters then brown owls and a clashing geometric print in neon green. They are just too wonky for my taste but the quality is wonderful so this will absolutely be used. I took off one star because I do think the company could be more thoughtful with the fabric choices.

Attractive umbrella with a smooth action

The Good: -Very attractive patchwork design -Smooth open/close action -Quality wood handle The OK: -Moderately strong construction (probably not strong wind resistant but you won’t get that at this price) The Bad: -Larger than small collapsible umbrellas I enjoy these J-style handle umbrellas but look at an umbrella as more of fashion statement than just a tool. This umbrella accomplishes all the important bits with an attractive design, quality wood handle and smooth automatic open action. Most of the totes umbrellas are essentially the same and make up the standard for umbrellas that are generally less than 30$. They're well built and perform reliably but won't stand up to a wind storm super well. You just won't find that level of strength in anything in this price range so why not just get something you like the look of? If you like what you see with the pattern work on this one you probably won't be disappointed.

Not windproof, but colorful and fun umbrella!

This umbrella is perfect for one person during rain that is not too windy. It's well-made and pleasantly colorful (you'll never lose it in that pile of black umbrellas!), and I like that it's reportedly made of scraps from other single-pattern umbrellas. It auto-opens, but closing it is completely manual... though is actually easier to close than several of the "auto-closing" umbrellas I've reviewed that resist being fully collapsed. It's a full-length umbrella so perhaps not the best to keep in the car, but it has that nice J-handle to loop over your arm to carry. It does not have a gust vent, so will not withstand high winds. Still, I like it as a fun, colorful and useful basic umbrella!

Cute

Super cute design, good quality as expected of Totes, easy and smooth to open and close, no pinching fingers doing it. Confortable handle. The umbrella is not that big when opened, but looks very long when closed because of the handle and the other long end. I will prefer a bigger umbrella with that size when closed.

Nice, stylish

This umbrella is not very large. It is definitely for single person use. That said, it's very colorful and stylish. Seems sturdy but not heavy duty like a golf umbrella. I would recommend this for a child or small person.

Unique and well made.

totes Eco Upcycled Umbrella is a large and regal umbrella with its tall stature and long curved handle. The handle is made from smooth blonde wood and the fabric of the umbrella's canopy is a fun mix of patterns. There are solid sections, colorful sections, bold patterns, and simple patterns. The effect reminds me of a quilt. Besides being pretty and unique, the umbrella works great as an umbrella. It opens smoothly with the touch of a button. The large curved canopy easily covers one person, and can cover two if they are close together. The rain rolls off smoothly and doesn't leak through the fabric or seams. Closing the umbrella is easy. All in all... a great umbrella with a unique twist.

It's nice to see more brands make upcycled products. This is the first time I've seen a company do upcycled umbrellas, and I'm glad it is Totes. It's a good size and sturdy. The design might not be for everyone, but I've gotten a lot of compliments!

Adorable and Eco-Conscious

This is a really well-made umbrella made from upcycled scrap material, giving it a funky and eclectic look. It features a wooden j-hook type handle and opens and closes smoothly. This is a good sized umbrella for one or two people if huddled close together. This would be a great gift for any environmentally conscious loved ones, or a fun little splurge for yourself.
