Whimsical, Quality Not Great

To start, I was excited to order this super cute Snoopy & Woodstock melamine dinner set. I truly enjoy grabbing a snack on a set such as this. I have other whimsical melamine dishes, and they all have a smooth and glossy finish to them. I have never encountered a matte finish on melamine until I met this set. It’s underwhelming, to say the least. Perhaps it has something to do with “bamboo melamine”. The first set I received actually had a chipped edge on the bowl. I was surprised, as I thought melamine would be really durable. The product claims to be “durable and chip-resistant”. After receiving my second set, I noticed the start of a chip on the bowl and the glass had scrape marks on it. Some of this has to do with the quality itself, and some has to do with how this item is presented to the consumer (not great). I struggle to give this product anything more than 3 stars. Cuteness alone rates 5 stars, but I would give quality 2 stars. That really doesn’t average to 4 stars, but the joy factor of looking at this set makes me want to round up. Overall, it’s super adorable. If you decide to order it, just expect the quality to be hit or miss.

Made different than years ago.

This Peanuts Fun Times 5-Piece Bamboo Melamine dinnerware set for kids looks weird up close, almost like it's used or dirty. I am guessing that's because it's made from melamine material instead of the old school plastic like years past. The Snoopy design is always a classic that kids of all generations can still enjoy!

Cute for Snoopy Lovers

Cute giftable set for children who love Snoopy or just dogs. My daughter happens to like Snoopy and I love the melamine material for her plates of some that I already have. I just wish the part of the eating utensils on the ends were actual silver. Anyway, like I said, I already have some melamine plates and they hold up to dishwasher but caution as they tend to get really hot in the microwave.

Adorable Snoopy design, sturdy, dishwasher safe

My entire family loves Snoopy and the entire Peanuts gang! This Peanuts Fun Times bamboo melamine dinnerware set would make the perfect gift for any little Snoopy fan! The set comes well packaged and ready for gift giving. Everything is neatly presented and secured in the packaging! Inside the box, you receive one 8.5" plate, one 6.5" bowl, one 10 oz cup, one fork, and one spoon. The fact that this is made of natural bamboo fibers and BPA free melamine gives me confidence that it will hold up well over time. Every piece of melamine dinnerware that we own has lasted for many years! If you use and wash this set often, I can't say how well the graphics will hold up over time. Many similar pieces that we own have faded some over the years! The kids still love using them, though. :) Depending on the age of the child using this, you may want to pair it with a suction cup secured silicone placemat. It will help keep everything more securely in place and reduce the chance of spills. The plate and bowl hold just the right amount of food. The cup holds a good amount of liquid. The utensils are perfectly sized for small hands. My only complaint is that the fork is a little difficult to use. If you are trying to pierce the fork into food, it can be difficult as the prongs are somewhat rounded. It works okay on super soft food and I totally understand why you wouldn't include sharp, pointed prongs on a child's fork for safety issues, lol. I have washed this set a few times in the dishwasher. Top rack on a regular cycle. It has held up well with no signs of fading. It does say that these aren't microwave safe so I wouldn't recommend using them in there!

Cute but the design quality is less than great.

This 5 piece bamboo dinnerware set is made from decent feeling material. It looks and feels like a combination of plastic and wood. The pieces are lightweight and robust feeling. The design is cute and fun, but it looks a bit faded and cheaply applied. The design survived a trip through the top rack of my dishwasher, but I don't have much faith in long term durability. My 5-year-old son loves this set and can't wait to use it when he eats. The plate is generously sized and has a raised edge to keep food from rolling off. The bowl is deep and holds a nice amount of cereal, pretzels, etc. The drinking cup is squat with a stable bottom. The spoon and fork are a little small for a 5-year-old and the fork is difficult for my son to use since the tines have very rounded tips and can't pierce foods easily. All in all... a fun set.

A Fun, Nicely Made Peanuts Dinnerware Set

I ordered this dinnerware set for my almost 3-year-old son, and he adores it. Snoopy and Woodstock are classic, and this set is bright and so cute. It comes with a plate, bowl, cup, fork, and spoon, and I’m quite happy that the cup feels slightly weighted at the bottom and is quite sturdy. However, I wish the fork had slightly pointier prongs, since they’re rather blunt. Also, it washes well in the dishwasher on the top rack. Overall, this is a fun dinnerware set that I think would make a fantastic gift for any young child.

Excellent plate set

I am a huge Peanuts fan and am looking forward to indoctrinating my kid in the same tradition. This is an absolutely adorable meal set. Colors are all bright and well delineated in person. The plates have that firm plastic feel of bamboo/melamine, and have already survived a few impacts in my household. I look forward to a few years of service from these guys! One small note, it obviously doesn't affirmatively say it, but there is no suction cup action here, so you would want to either get these for a child that has grown out of the gravity experiments age or be ready to supervise.

Fun dish set for my daughter

My daughter loves Snoopy and this dish set was the perfect addition to her kid-sized dinnerware set. The plate, bowl, and cup are the perfect size for her lunch or dinner. The fact that they are microwave safe and can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher make them super easy to clean. Because they are made from bamboo, they are light weight. They look and feel like plastic but are better for the environment.
