Dog took a second to warm up but she loves it now!
The side entry on this is genius. it has a kind of slide-and-drop feature for the side gate that makes it really easy to open/clean out the cage if needed. The dog was skeptical at first because it was big but it fits her perfectly (35lb mutt) and she loves it now. I wanted something without metal edges so they didn't ruin my wall or the car and this fits the bill perfectly. Is it super tiny when collapsed? no, but compared to the giant size it is when it's put up i can't complain. it's about 2x thicker than a traditional collapsible metal cage, but it also has wheels!! would recommend if you need something other than a flimsy soft cage or steel block one.

I haven't had the crate long enough to speak to it's quality but when I had an issue with the top side latches, Julie from Petgear got in contact with me quickly and solved my problem in 5 minutes.

It is a sturdy crate for your dog!
The crate arrived today (Wed 8/24/22). I followed the instructions, no tools required and they were very easy to follow. I did have a problem snapping the latches on the top of the crate, but I eventually got them. The dog bed that comes with the crate is pretty decent, but I have another one that I am using. I do like the wheels on it and this makes it very easy to move! It came with a carrying bag too, this is a plus to help transport it in and out of the my car when traveling. Overall, great crate and glad I purchased it! Btw, I have a 8 month old puppy and she weighs 22.6 pounds. I bought the 36” crate.

The manufacturer's reach exceeds its grasp
This is potentially a pretty good product, but the manufacturing quality leaves something to be desired. The latches that hold the doors shut have simple stamped steel tabs formed with release latches that must be depressed before the door can be opened. The force required to do this varies quite a lot and I had to spend a fair amount of time bending one to make it easier to open so one family member could use it. Some plastic parts don't line up evenly. The latches that hold the top on are very hard to close -- I worried that the cheap stamped steel parts might fail when I fastened them. And the company logo molded into the top and bottom had some highlighting applied to them in a pretty sloppy way that looks like a quick job with a magic marker. (Covered that up with electrical tape.) Also, plan on getting a bed to line the bottom, as the pad is very thin and offers almost no cushioning. With a little attention to improving the production process, it could be much better.

Ok for what I needed
It was easy to put together but not as sturdy as I would like. My dogs don't mind being in a crate so it sturdy enough for them but it wouldn't take much to get the door to come open. The garage style door doors get stuck sometimes when you are trying to open or close it. It took my one year great granddaughter about 20 seconds to figure out the slide latches to let the dogs out!!

It’s alright
This kennel is nice and compact for road trips. It’s sturdy once all the pieces are snapped together. However putting this kennel together is a 2 person job, you need at least 3 hands. Once it’s set up it’s fine, however if you are using it as a kennel to keep your animal in, the snaps the secure the door are not user friendly. If you aren’t needing the constantly set it up and it’s more of a hangout space, it would be perfect

We got our third puppy and had to get our third Pet Gear crate. Love that the main door slides out of the way.

Create arrived a part was Broken making the side easy to come unlatched.
I won’t use it for travel however for the purpose I purchased it’s great.
