Time saver

I bought two different sizes of this very sturdy pop up pen. They’re very convenient when having to quickly quarantine an animal after a surgery or to house a litter of kittens. I use it when I travel with my pet too. I’ve owned other brands and this one seems the sturdiest. It’s not as ideal as a metal crate as far as sanitizing and cleaning, but the coated bottom zips off and you can use a spray cleaner and wipe it down or throw it in the tub and wash it with a little shampoo.

Not Quite as Described (Update)

Update: I contacted the company directly and they informed me that this Play Yard has not come with a carrying case for several years. I will accept that but too bad Amazon didn't revise their description to reflect that. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. The item is of good quality. However, the headline description states it comes with a heavy duty carrying case which it did not. Otherwise, it was just fine.

Nice quality material, small is very small

The small pen replaced a larger, flimsy collapsible pen that I've used for 7 years. Based on the quality of the fabric and zippers, I expect this one will last at least as long. Used for sleeping, my 6lb dog with bed fits fine, my 12lb looked a little cramped. Top mesh screen and bottom panel zip completely off, and as others have noted there is no carrying case as described on Amazon and listed on the product tag itself. The wide elastic band does a good job of containing the pen once it's folded.

Almost perfect!

I was very excited to get this playpen for my new puppy after our old one, which we had for 5 years and through 3 other dogs, was in need of repair. I ordered the Medium size for our 3lb Pomeranian (she's 12 weeks old so will grow a little bigger), and I'm so glad I did because it's much smaller than I would have liked. Unless you have a gerbil, don't waste money on the Small size. It's a very sturdy, well packaged playpen that comes with 2 zippered doors, a removable zippered top with one velcro flap and a removable zippered bottom with one velcro flap in a nice navy blue/tan color. Unfortunately, it's not very high/tall, and my puppy was able to unzip the door with her foot on the very first try! She separated the two zippers and got out, which was quite funny when we caught her red handed (not so funny if I wasn't home and came home to find all our furniture chewed up!). To solve this problem of her getting out, I now secure the two zippers together with a leash clasp, and now she can't separate them apart. The other thing is the hole for a water bottle - genius idea but it doesn't work. The hole is way too low on the playpen so that the dispensing part almost touches the bottom of the inside of the playpen! My puppy, as small as she is, would have to lay on her belly and twist her neck to get the water out so I keep a water bowl inside the playpen instead. I tied a sock into the hole for a tug toy haha I much prefer my tried and true BestPet Medium playpen (also purchased from Amazon - you can read my review and see my photos) as it's more spacious, cheaper in price and taller.

I LOVE THIS PLAY YARD! AND THEN THERE WAS...

I LOVE THIS PLAY YARD. I had bought this exact one, for my first puppy (my son left here) I got the medium because I had no idea how big she would get. (Turns out my Morkie (Maltese - Yorkie) as they are called, only tops out at 8 pounds. It's far too big for her, I should have gotten the small. It is the only home she has ever known so she has her crate mat in there and her blanket and a few small toys and does fine. The quality is Excellent! the floor is washable and removable if you want to use it outdoors but she is still confined and can touch the grass. She has never had an accident in it. It has the zippered top, also removable, it has two doors that Velcro up and the other amenities. She has never even bothered to go over the top when we leave it unzipped. We even leave the door Velcro up at night and she sleeps in it because she was too tiny at 4 months to sleep with us. She loves her bed and we were in heaven. And then...I purchased this second one for my small rescue puppy who weigh 9 pounds as a Yorkie Mix and she is smaller in stature than my Morkie but must have come from Hell! I did not want her to get an inferiority complex about the playpen size difference ( in my mind) so again I got the Medium. I ordered it too late so it did not arrive in time to put my rescue Yorkie Mix in it. A good thing, because she has issues. I had to return it unused. Luckily I had a crate from a dog we had that had passed away because she was in my Morkie's bed (you know with her being the new guest and all) and she completely destroyed it! She was over it, under the bottom, ripping up the waterproof bottom down to our wood flooring. She pooped and pissed in it flung it on the mesh walls (like the Monkeys do at the Zoo). Some dogs are just meant for crates. She has far less room but settled down after a few weeks to a more civilized behavior in a metal crate. Go figure!

Wonderful for people with small dogs! A must have...

i have 2 small dogs (long hair chihuahuas) around 8 lbs each and this is perfect for the both of them for night time sleeping and to rest in during the day. it's big enough to fit 2 small dog cushions and a water bowl. the waterproof liner at the bottom is very easy to remove as it's attached to the frame by velcro and yet the liner stays in tact just fine and keeps any pee accidents or water bowl spills from leaking out. the top is also made of mesh that is detachable via a zipper all around the rim. it's awesome because you can partially leave the top open or you can close it up all the way. you can still always see your dogs through it because the top and all the sides have mesh, but there is enough privacy because the mesh is dark so the dogs feel secure even if they are in a new place. because the whole frame is collapsible, I am able to pack it in a suitcase. it has it's own case as well once it's collapsed, but i generally don't use it and just fold it up, and use the large hoop attached to it to keep everything together (lid and bottom). i take it with me to dog friendly hotels, and when visiting family out of town. this size very is good for the 2 dogs, but my mom has the one a size larger and that works too! i keep the dogs in here when i'm not at home as well, and they do very well in it.

It is excellent. I use it for my cat in an unfenced yard. I love the fact that it can be easily folded. If I were to suggest improvements, I would suggest: a removable top so that the animal can stay outside in (a gentle) rain that the floor was NOT removable. It can be easily cleaned when it is attached. I am concerned that the Velcro will wear out when it is removed and put back in again and again.

Strong material, durable in the face of "puppy teeth" - totally worth it

I bought this pen last week as a temporary holding place for my new puppy Banjo (approx. 2lbs), however with our brutally cold winters instead it is being used it as a puppy bathroom by putting pee pads in it. My little Maltese learned to use it in one day and now will seek it out by going through the doorway, using the pads and then leaving. It is also very strong which is a good thing considering sharp puppy teeth. I did worry that it might be too light but when it arrived I could see it is fairly solid. I fold it up and take it with us when we visit friends so that Banjo has a consistent place to go. Two or three pee pads slip inside the carry case just fine. I am very happy with this product.

Well made and provides hours of amusement for the puppy trying to escape

This playpen is well designed and made. It has all the right features and seems very durable. Unfortunately, the puppy hates being in it and has figured out numerous ways to escape from it within the first 10 days. With the roof off, she can climb out of it. She can open the zippers on the doors from the inside. And she is now working on lifting up the removable floor inside. At least this keeps her amused and slows her down from chewing on the house. Soon she will be big enough that we will only need it when out of the house. Le see what she does then.

Fantastic Portable Puppy Pen--much nicer and portable than metal XPen for

Exactly what we needed. Folds up and fits into small carry case. Screen zips onto top to keep other animals out (such as a cat). Bottom fabric attaches with Velcro and is waterproof and writeable. Fantastic product!

Great soft crate, excellent quality

Excellent quality, I would recommend this product to anyone with a small dog. I didn't realize how small it was but was so cute I kept it!! dogs love small spaces it's comforting :)
