The large is a much better fit lengthwise. Some approximate dimensions for both medium and large: Neck diameter (elastic unstretched): Medium 17", Large 20.5" Length of top strap, front to back: M 10.25", L 11" Length of chest/bottom strap, front to back: M 12.25", L 14.75" (This makes a big difference!) The minimum girth strap sizes look accurate: M 26", L 29" I bought this harness primarily for the reflective piping to make my dog more visible at night, and it works well for that.

Dog comfort

It is a no escape harness.. if your dog is a Houdini. Our rescue dog had a habit of slipping out of previous harness.. which is terrifying experience.. keep you fur baby safe..

It was a little bigger than expected for the size but it fits great. It helps decrease my Dogs desire to pull and keeps her ready to be close with the handle. Since this harness, she absolutely loves her walks

Beware of size chart

I bought this harness for my 10-week-old puppy. she has a girth of 18.5 inches and weighs 17 pounds. this puts her in the XS category. Unfortunately, the collar that goes over the head is not adjustable and it is too small to get over her head. I will not return for a larger size, as it would be too big for her, even if it fit over her head. Disappointing, especially since my adult dog wears a different style harness but the same brand and it is great.

Sizing is all wrong

I ordered a small because my dog’s ‘girth’ was well within the measurements for that size even though she’s 40lbs. I mistakenly thought there would be some way to adjust the neck size. I nearly strangled my dog trying to put it on. The reason I bought this harness is because our current harness presses on on our dog’s throat and she’s still learning how to walk nicely rather than pull. The photos made it look like the harness sits nicely on the shoulders, but that’s impossible. This is the second PetSafe harness I’ve wasted money on. No more! What a shame!

Sturdy and bright

It is a good qualities but I can't figure out how to adjust the neck portion. The chest band is tough to adjust. When you get through these challenges it is a good solid harness and it look like it is made to last a long time. I do wish there was a way to adjust the neck with.

Perfect for off-leash training & hiking.

Love it! I ordered the medium first based on girth measurement and it was way too large. I wish they would also include neck & back length measurements so I could have got it right the first time. Reordered the small and it's perfect. We use this for off-leash practice with a long-line so she doesn't choke or injure herself running flat out on the 30ft if she gets too distracted to listen to the recall command. (Why she's not yet allowed off leash.) Also love the lift-assist handle for dealing with obstacles while hiking. Im case it's helpful: My puppy Nike is wearing size small, her girth measurement is 22.5" and she currently weighs around 15.5kg @ 6.5months of age. Update: Really got a chance to test out the harness today. The trail we were on was quite busy, lots of squirrels, screaming kids, waterfall, offleash dogs she would rather investigate than come back when called and the elastic in the neck really helps to soften the impact when she inevitably hits the end of the long leash mid-chase. I also like that it doesn't chafe her when she runs/trots around in it a lot. It seems very durable and is holding up well so far!

Solide et beau look, bien accepté par le chien. Mais certains irritants.

Le col est extensible mais pas fait grand, pour les chiens avec une grosse tête peut-être un problème. La sangle d’ajustement est pas agréable à ajuster quand on la rapetisse ou l’agrandit lorsqu’on on mets un gilet ou un manteau à notre animal. Il se fait mieux dans la même game de prix. Essayer d’éviter les sangle qui passent dans les côtés fermés.
