Definitely use WITH other versions of Silver
The cards add a lot of fun dynamic when combining with other versions of Silver, however, it's not as fun as a standalone game when compared to Silver Amulet & Silver Bullet.

4 stars
The reason I give this 4 stars is that my first choice for any of the Silver games would be Silver Bullet. Silver Coin is my second choice.

Direct and more strategic card combinations and possibilities
Silver Coin is the third game in this series and delivers a new set of 14 cards that you can choose to play as a standalone game or mix with others in the series. I have been surprised that each game can be so unique all on its own without feeling repetitious. Coin is especially good at focusing more on card combos and abilities than the previous games. I have found it takes more strategy to play than Amulet and is slightly more difficult that it’s two predecessors. As in the previous games the goal is still the same, before calling for a vote you need to have 4 or fewer cards by removing at least 1 from your dealt hand of 5. The vote allows all other players one more turn and then scores are determined by adding the card values together, if you called for the vote and have the lowest total, your score is zero. Coin makes it riskier when calling for the vote though, as this deck has some strong abilities that revolve around discarding and even adding cards to other player’s villages. The 0 card Regifter can let another player add a card to your village before scoring even happens which is a great way to upset a vote. The 13 card Wolfman says that if the sum of your village is less than its value, which is 13, then your score is reduced to zero as well. Both of these cards can provide end game upsets that are both unexpected and as I said make what you usually hope to be a pretty confident vote much trickier. These are both examples of card abilities that are activated when they are in the face up positions of your village, and this game’s silver item “the coin” enables the owner to flip one of their cards face up when they flip the coin once per turn. Whoever possesses the coin can be a dangerous opponent to vote against unless you know their cards well. They may very well be setting up a disastrous combo if you call the vote first. I’ve enjoyed the interplay and balance of this specific deck, multiple card abilities are able to combo and play off of one another much more satisfyingly than ever before. The face up card abilities are powerful and can be punishing to other players, although in previous series I never felt you had as much opportunity to activate them. Coin has several cards that allow you to get cards into their face up position and begin using their abilities to remove cards from your hand quickly. Even though this is a perfect standalone game I would recommend Coin to be more for those already familiar with the series. Owning and knowing you enjoy the previous games would prepare you best for Coin’s slightly advanced play. So for those who have interest in the theme and playing an absolutely fantastic card game that are looking for a more strategic version, this is absolutely the first I’d recommend.

Awesome game, must have for those who purchased the first 2 Silver game!
3rd game in the series and it is perfect for a mix of the first two. Plays well on it's own, but mixing and matching cards from all three games, that's where the fun is!
