Great replacement part for the price

This was an exact match, which installed fairly easily, after I watched a tech replace one on YouTube. Procedure Note when doing this job: Only one of the two tires needed to be removed, the left one, closet to the gears when the that one is off, the axel then slides to the right so you can remove that right side cotter pin.

OEM fit

This is a common failure issue with the MTD 22” snowblower. This part is the exact replacement. The gears are made of brass and wear out very quickly. Price was a bit steep.

Look closely before install!

The first one they sent had stripped out gears just like the one we took off! i thought when I looked at it, that it was used...I was right...they did send a replacment..just glad we were not in the middle of snow season! Still think as cheezy as these parts are made they are WAY OVERPRICED.

Exact replacement

The part was an exact replacement but unfortunately it still has the fundamental flaw of having a brass gear which will likely wear very quickly (just like what happened to the original one that it replaced).

Heavy Lifting Made Much Easier

This product was installed in a 2006 machine, took my son about an hour start to finish, just in time for last night's snow. If he's happy with the result, I'm happy, and the delivery was faster than promised! Highly recommend.

Concerned about large volume of silicone

I ordered this part RELUCTANTLY due to the very high price of $212.00 CAD. I went ahead after 3 months of considering it and this is what I received. It looked like someone put this back together from scrap with a tube of silicone in their backyard. Needless to say I will NOT be purchasing anything from this seller again. VERY disappointed

Get a new snowblower

It lasted one snow clearing.. don't know the cause, maybe if you hit a chuck of snow going full speed.. the main drive gear is brass, doesn't take much to mush that up.
