Very sturdy lock

I can't say how well the mechanism works, but the body and shackle are very sturdy. The core is basically an American Lock series 1100/1200 etc core. I bought both the TP175 and TPL275 at the same time and oddly they were both keyed the same. I have no idea what the chances that two locks, of two different models, picked from two Amazon storage bins, would have the same key, but it seems very unlikely, unless they're just making huge batches of locks all keyed the same. That seems like a recipe for disaster if you're buying these to actually secure anything.

Heavy duty

This is a stronger lock than many you can find that have the possibility of being keyed alike. (You must order through Trimax website to add more locks at same key code) amazon customer service was really helpful and Trimax staff was able to insure I received what I needed. Have now expanded my set of these to 28 locks (most are the smaller model)

Weighs a pound and a half!

Looks like a great lock but was much too heavy for my application. Gave five stars even though I never opened and returned.
