Well made, lots of options to customize the layout, and to top it off, they keep your tackle DRY!
This is my first plano 3600 sized box. It works great for holding various lures and jigs and has a waterproof gasket that seals around the entire box. It also includes a little moisture absorbing unit that keeps the interior dry after putting a freshly used lure away. The dry environment keeps your tackle from rusting and that's a huge plus. They are very easily opened with one hand and latch securely with one hand as well. There is *nothing* flimsy about the construction and the clear lid makes it very easy to see which box has which tackle(if you have a number of them). They also have an area to label them on one side so you can grab the right box right away even when you can't see the inside of them. They are stackable which is another awesome feature because you're going to want more than one. The only problem I have is that my smaller hooks/rubber rings can escape from their spot and make their way into other compartments--but I solved that problem by buying a second plano box for terminal tackle that has lidded compartments to keep everyone in their home. The whole thing is well constructed and the plastic dividers are robust and allow airflow through out the interior (which is important for the moisture wicking pack that keeps tackle dry). To sum everything up: Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Some of the smaller loose hooks and other similarly slim objects can migrate, but I don't think that this is a flaw in the product; it simply isn't designed to stop that from happening with--that's why they offer the plano terminal tackle box which I just bought as well; I can't wait for it to arrive in the next couple days! Another excellent product from a company that has been in the tackle business for years. These folks know what they are doing--they have been making tackle boxes for nearly 75 years, innovating the entire time. I still have a large plano tackle box from my grandfather that is still in great shape...and it has to be well over 50-60 years old. If you're serious about fishing and owning a product that will last, then you've found the right company to serve you!

Great product, don't think I'll be buying another one though
Everyone is particular about their fishing gear, and this is a fantastic, well-built product. Price-wise, however, it's very expensive. Pros: I haven't had my tackle slip into different compartments yet, but I'm sure if I gave it a good shake, there's a possibility. Seems to be water-tight, although I didn't submerge it or drop it off a boat by accident yet. Quality is great, and you'll likely have a bunch of extra dividers - better to have more than not enough. Cons: My biggest con is the latching system. If you have any tackle that's a little too large, or you have an extra unattached divider inside that props up next to the bottom latch, it's fairly easy to accidentally only latch one side, and then you risk mixing up tackle / the latch coming undone in your bag. I've also noticed the depth is slightly more shallow than a cheap Plano 3600. The price is another con - I can't really justify the price. TLDR; great product, haven't had any issues so far, but the price is a little steep compared to other waterproof / anti-rust tackle storage boxes for what it is.

You need to know
Very satisfied with the new design. Purchased to stop tackle from migrating from one compartment to another. Surprised that split rings continue to migrate. Overall I will recommend this new Plano box.

Lots of Pros
I have three of these 3600 boxes now, slowly replacing older, and older style boxes. They are sturdy. I see some of the reviews that say they break when you drop them. Well so do all the other boxes when you drop them. So try not to drop a box full of metal lures off your work bench or your tackle station. Duh. The divider system is much more flexible than any of the other Plano or Flambeau boxes, so I can get more in one box, which makes it easier to transport everything to and from the boat. I like to rig up the night before, so having portability is important to me. The one latch is also a plus when things get busy. Keeps my stuff dry and rust free, but I’m in a CC boat, so I’m mainly dealing with spray. If you’re kayaking, I would recommend something truly waterproof, like the three latch Plano boxes with the blue (3600) or red (3700) seals. I have a few of those that I keep on the boat at all times , so the watertight seals provide more insurance. All in all I think this is a big improvement over the ProLatch, or other old style boxes. Durability, flexibility, and spray/humidity protection are big pluses for me.

Nice, but only marginally compatible with 3700 Edge Terminal Tackle Box
I got this recently, so I can't comment to its longevity or much about the performance, but I will answer two questions that I had before purchasing: 1) The small boxes that come with the 3700 Edge Terminal Tackle box kind of fit in the 3600, with some squeezing. Basically you can shoe-horn in a few of the smaller clear-top boxes, but they are slightly too wide for the rows of the 3600, so they don't fully seat, and you couldn't put two next to each other in different rows, because the dividers have to flex to accept them. And the dividers might break at some point due to the stress. Plano really missed the boat on this one. For a fancy high-end system, you'd think they might have made them compatible. I'm a fishing generalist, so for me one of those 3700s fits enough terminal tackle for several species and types of fishing. It would be nice to pop a couple boxes out of the 3700, and 'pack light' with the 3600. 2) The 3600 is heartbreakingly close to fitting in the square hatches of the Hobie Pro Angler. The PA's come with waterproof 3600's in the square hatch, but the edge series is probably 1/8" too long to fit. They actually fit easily within the hatch itself, but the little insert that holds & pivots the tackle boxes (if you own a PA, you know the thing I'm talking about) is too small. Overall, the edge series seems nice, but I do have some concern about its impact resistance. The super clear plastic seems like it might be more brittle than the normal dull, semi-opaque plastic that is used for most tackle boxes.
