Playmobil Knight Rider - K.I.T.T

As someone who is a huge Knight Rider fan and has many models of K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand), this version is quite fun. What makes this model different is that it comes with fun accessories and "LEGO" versions of characters from the series. This is also the first time a toy of K.I.T.T. has been made in his Convertible Mode, which is a nice touch. This is a *slightly* stylized version of K.I.T.T. and intended to have him look as more of a toy than previous models, hence he is not in his standard gloss black but in matte which helps avoid fingerprints. The finger sensor is a bit cumbersome but does work nicely with a bright scanner light and 5 or 6 phrases from the show. Assembly is fun and simple and never overwhelming. You can even fit all three figures inside at the same time. The license plate can flip to a 'false' plate just as it was used in one episode of the series, which is a nice attention to detail added touch. This is also a very nice size for a child or adult to hold and fun to handle. Stickers are easy to apply and there is a nice thorough description of the TV show and characters included in this set. All in all, this is a solid release albeit a bit on the pricey side. Recommended!

Like the other Playmobil vehicles that have come out in recent years, this is a nice collectible piece that looks exactly like KITT from the series. It comes with the three main characters--Michael, Devon and Bonnie--and even features the voice of William Daniels in several phrases as KITT. Additionally, there are some accessories like Bonnie's workbench, Devon's desk and a grappling hook attachment. However, while it LOOKS good, there's one major flaw: the activation for the electronic features. Instead of putting a simple switch or button set-up, they decided to put a pressure sensor under the hood. Not only is it difficult to activate, but it's inconsistent when it comes to triggering KITT's phrases. It's also difficult to open the headlights (not that they were ever open much during the show) as you have to really dig and pry at them to flip them up. So a fine looking piece for any Knight Rider fan, but I'd say wait until it's at a discount price before purchasing. It's definitely NOT worth the initial price tag.

This is a fantastic representation of K.I.T.T.! If you're a kid from the 80's and a Knight Rider fan, this is a MUST HAVE. Mine had some cosmetic issues as the canopy popped off the body and got scratched up in transport. I also needed a replacement sticker sheet as I had messed one up by accident. I contacted Playmobil to purchase replacement parts, but to my surprise, they took care of me at no charge! They notified me that my order was shipped out, and I got it today! Upon opening the package, I expected just the replacement canopy and a sticker sheet. To my surprise, Playmobil sent me a replacement BODY with the canopy and the sticker sheet!!! I was sure to thank them for this in an email! What a fantastic company!! HASBRO could learn a thing or two from Playmobil! Thanks, Playmobil, You're the best!

I paid $56 for this set. It's nicely detailed and made in Germany. I would give 5 stars if it had doors and rotating tires. I wouldn't pay the $89 initial asking price though.

Our son is really into the 1980's Knight Rider series, so Santa got him this for Christmas. It's really cute & comes with Michael, Devin & Bonnie as well as Bonnie's console & Devin's desk.

Bought this for my husband to give me as a birthday present. :) The box was a little dinged up, but nothing inside was broken. I just took everything out of the box and set up a little display.

Turbo boost your way into a fun time with the Knight Industries crime busting duo Micheal and Kitt. Assembly is required so younger fans might need help especially with the stickers. Really nice attention to detail all the way down to Micheal's comwatch. Hidden sounds button is awesomely done so it doesn’t affect the aesthetic of the overall look. Also scales really well with all the other film and tv vehicle sets.
