Disappointed

The netting is so loose, it makes throwing with it useless. Hoped for a kind of handheld lacrosse type stick. Wasted toy.

Ok, could be better, kids struggle with it.

Its a fun game but my 7 and 9 year old struggle with it. I did too till I got a little use to it. The ball really wants to bounce ou of the net, so you have to really work on you skill to keep it in. Tossing the ball underhand hells a lot. We also got the velcro version of this and the kids like it waaaaay better then this, but it isn't perfect either. It does work a bit better wet cause it tends ot to bounce out of the net as much. But playing this sport I our above ground pool is a choir if you miss the miss the ball and it goes out of the pool and I to the gardens.

We love having lots of Franklin outdoor sports outside at parties they are always a hit! Especially this!

A fun twist on the catch-and-throw game

We actually have a similar game (also from Franklin) in which you catch a wiffle-sized ball in a plastic shield and fling it back. I like the idea behind this one because it is a similar catch-and-toss game, but adds a water element which is fun when the weather outside is hot. I actually found the older plastic one we have feels built a little bit better than this one. That might just be because this one is made to support a net while the older catch-and-toss game relied on plastic catch-and-toss parts. Regardless, my kids had a blast playing with it over a weekend get-together, and played a sort of "splash tennis", lobbying the splash ball over a Volleyball net I put up. Its a fun outdoor activity.

Terrible

Don't waste your money. I bought 3 sets of these for a family party. Within 15 minutes of playing with these the ball split at the seems and some of the nets were not on properly (the same) so the toy did not work.

Ball is fine; nets are useless for throwing

Other than the occasional success when trying to throw the ball using the rackets, they were pretty much useless for throwing so we ended up using the set more like a baseball and glove set - catch with the racket and then take the ball in your other hand to throw. Not what we were hoping for but at the price point, can't complain.
