Sturdy, but will it bear my weight?
This product seems to be really strongly attached by the suction pads, but in the literature, the vendor states that it is not designed to carry the full weight of a person. That is disappointing. But it does seem really firmly attached to the wall of the shower cubicle. Perhaps I should hang on it and jerk it a bit to see if it breaks free of the wall. I am really curious to know how much weight it can hold without the suction breaking. I encourage the manufacturer to do tests and state how many pounds it can support. Perhaps the reason they say it is not supposed to support the full weight of a person is to prevent themselves from being sued. I can understand that, in view of the fact that it is attached by the buyer, not the manufacturer, and the buyer may not manage to get the suction quite right. Anyway, meanwhile, my husband and I find it useful. It was very easy to apply, and it has no sharp corners, which is another plus.

Amazing Holding Power
I just had total hip replacement surgery on my right hip, so need some grab spots in the shower. I bought three of these and they work remarkably well. My tiles are exactly 4" X 4" and I was concerned these might not work correctly. Most descriptions of these say the tiles have to be greater than 4" X 4". Lo-and-behold, if you position them carefully and apply per the instructions, they work fine. I ALWAYS recheck suction before use...no problems to date. I intend to continue to use them even after I have completed healing and rehab.

Suctions only for COMPLETELY smooth surfaces
This product does have a strong suction; however make sure your surface is COMPLETELY smooth. I bought this because my tub is too long for me and I needed something to help "shorten" the length of the tub that I could reach. I have a very small bumpy texture at the base of my tub and because of that, it would not actually suction. Overall, a great and strong product, but only for completely smooth surfaces.

Still holding!!
Very pleased with this purchase. Read reviews about the suction cups falling off the wall. That did happen when I tried it on drywall, but it worked great on our smooth tiled shower. I bought this for my 95 y/o mother-in-law to use. It is a great option, because I she only visits two weekends a month and I didn't have to drill into our tile... BONUS!! These have great suction, very sturdy. I surely test them each time I install them to be absolutely certain that they hold. So far so good!!

Exactly what I needed
Out of the box and mounted in about 2 minutes. I got 3, a 24 inch mounted horizontally to the back wall of my new shower and two 16 inch mounted vertically on the ends where the doors slide open. I was amazed at the suction power.

What I liked was the length. My daughter was able to accidently move the unit while holding on to it in the shower. I will continue to shop for better Suction Power!

Suction is great on smooth ceramic tile
On smooth ceramic tile the suction is great and after several days its still tight on the wall. Natural stone like travertine or granite is not as smooth and has small little crevices that allow air to enter and it will lose it suction after several hours but on smooth ceramic tile it will hold very tight. I put a little water on the suction pads before to insure a tight seal.

Works well for light weight on it, but definitely does not hold for entire body weight. But it was perfect for me to have something to rest on since I can't put full weight on my casted leg.

It's just so so
The product keeps loosing suction after 24 hours. I have ensured the surface is clean when putting up and it last through the bath and supports my weight as I get up, but by the following day it always sitting in the tub and has to be put up again.
