Sturdy but a couple bad bolts

I think this rack is going to work well however, a few concerns: 1. basket is a mesh fabric that does not seem like it will last but will do for awhile with lightweight, small items. 2. basket bracket is a square ring, the ends of which join via the same bolt that is supposed to secure one side of the basket to the bike rack however, the bolt is just a bit too short. I really needs to be 1/2” longer than what is in the hardware kit. I’ll be buying my own bolt for that side. 3. instructions aren't clear when it comes to knowing which side of each post should face inward vs. outward and it does matter. Pay attention when assembling, particularly with the holes meant for securing the basket, and others, too, if you care about which side your bolt heads will be. 4. One of the bolts received with the bike rack was stripped. 5. Contacted manufacturers, Delta, and was told I'd probably have to return the whole rack to Amazon. However, after they fully processed my inquiry, they did send the parts needed, and reasonably quickly. I can see where some reviews mention the hooks not staying in place so while it's great to be able to adjust them, I do think we'll need to wrap them with something to keep them from moving when bikes are taken on/off. Recommend securing the front wheels before putting the bike on the rack -- so much easier without the handlebars/front wheel getting in your way. The straps we have for this can double as pant leg straps when needed to keep pants from getting in the chain.

Holds 4 bikes well, but the arms fall easily when not in use

Bought this to save floor space with 4 bikes (2 Mt bikes, 1 gravel bike, 1 kids bike). It does it and does it well. Easy to use and put together - I like the center basket for a home place for all of the bike stuff. The arms that the bike go on work great - except they come off easily when not in use or when you remove the weight of the bike. Never a safety issue, but sometimes gets tricky if it slips as you’re putting your bike on the rack. I will say, if you can’t lift your bike up high, you may find the upper tier difficult to use.

Worth It

No missing pieces Approx 15 min to assemble (I'm slow). Hooks are holding very well with rubber on the ends to protect bikes and help hold to frame. No sliding down. Top hook is an older antique Sheffield 10 speed with all kinds of stuff attached (about 40 pounds worth of bike) and bottom hook is a Schwinn at approximately 25 pounds. I'm very happy.

Works, but hooks do not stay in position

Set up is fairly easy, it’s built pretty well. My biggest problem is the hooks. The rubber coated and slide around on the metal pole. So they sometimes slide down or rotate and bikes shift in position. I’m constantly adjusting them, I’ve even put screws in to hold it in place now. Still shifts sometimes. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Fits the bill with on caveat

Assembly is straight forward and hold 4 bikes well while saving a lot of space. The frame is finished nicely as well. I did find that the screws strip very easily. I replaced all the fasteners with decent analogies from the hardware store and got it properly tightened for under7$. I'd recommend doing the same for this rack, hence the less than amazing rating. It does do wonders for space saving so I will recommend it with that in mind. I should mention that mine arrived today with the steel basket as opposed to the nylon one, which other reviewers are complaining about.

Quality and Value

Very easy to assemble, took less than 10 minutes. Easily holds four full size bikes and is very sturdy. Confident I won’t find it tipped over. Great product at a great price...

Okay with 2 bikes, soon to try a third.

Seems fairly stable with two bikes, especially if they are stacked either side. Yet to to try it with my third bike. I was disappointed to find the rubber housing to the holder was ripped, I will pursue this with the seller.

Really impressed with this bike stand, easy to set up and sturdy enough to take a tandem on the bottom rack.
