This was a great replacement for magnets that feel out of shower stall. Works great!

Virtually identical to the original shower door latch
Virtually identical to the original shower door latch that came installed on my 1961 vintage shower door. Side by side to the original, it looks literally identical, the only thing that is a bit different is that the catch itself is a slightly thinner metal (that's what broke on mine to begin with). I would have preferred a thicker metal, but considering that the original lasted 61 years, I would expect this one should last at least 30.

Fixed 27-year old shower door latch for $3
This metal latch replaced a broken plastic one in a 27 year-old house I recently bought. I was surprised I found it on Amazon. I did have to flatten it a little with a hammer to get it to work in my shower but it now works fine. Happy to find such obscure part for a good price. Thought I was wasting my time with online search but struck gold (or steel).

Must install correctly or the mechanism will break.
Must install correctly or the mechanism will break. Make sure to install so the latch just catches. If too tight, the spring breaks. Have second one and I installed correctly. Glad they are cheap. Order two just in case.

Better than the vinyl type
The metal construction is better than most. However. does not work well at all. Barely will hold the door closed. May last 30 days woth daily use.

Perfect fix for shower door catch
This inexpensive metal catch was a perfect fix for an old broken plastic catch. Installation took one minute and the door now closes as if it's new.

Worthless
I ordered this shower door latch instead of other, seemingly lower-quality versions, because of the picture on Amazon and the metal components. How could I go wrong with that, right? Not only did the unit I received not quite resemble the one in the picture (in such a way that, if I had known what it actually looked like, I might have reconsidered my purchase), it was designed in such a way that it completely failed to function. The spring and contact mechanism within the latch are surprisingly basic and uninspired (a weird thing to say about something so uncomplicated). Even if there were some semblance of quality craftsmanship within the unit, once installed, it loses all ability to perform its duty. This is because the metal housing compresses against the moving part at the front when the screws are fully tightened, preventing it from sliding properly. I tried modifying the opening with some pliers, which did widen the hole enough for the business-end of the latch to move freely, but the design is so terrible that it still won't work. The problem is in the way the tip is allowed to very loosely shift forward and backward, as well as in and out. The tip should be reinforced with a slot of some sort so it can't allow any shifting in the action as the door is brought across its surface. The Amazon picture shows a solid tip, but the unit I received just has a piece of bent metal, which reveals the system's frailty. I consider myself to be a fair and balanced individual, and I hardly ever review products because I don't think my voice needs to be heard. In this case, however, I would like to at least try to warn people that my experience with this product has been highly disappointing. I know this is a silly little piece of hardware, but it serves an important purpose, and when that need is far from met (meaning your shower door swings open unless you clamp it shut), it's hard not to want to say something about it. Think twice, people. That's all I can say.

This item (M 6015 Shower Door $7.44) doesn’t work, useless ! Amazon should stop selling this. It might be cheap & minor item., but its just a piece of crap, few more of product like this can tarnish amazon’s image.
