poor instructions

very nice looking and easy to install once you understood the instructions were written by someone that is a product of the american public education system and doesn't know the difference between a radius and a diameter

This was packaged like new BUT when I opened it

This was packaged like new BUT when I opened it, the brass on the faceplates was very scratched up and worn appearing. I bought this as a replacement because I had broken the swinging latch part on my identical pocket door hardware. Since I really didn't need the faceplates, I took this one apart and installed this one's swinging latch in my old hardware (my old faceplates were in better condition than these "new" ones). I threw out the "new" faceplates." It wasn't worth it to me to go through the bother of sending this back since I got the part I needed. Would have been very unhappy with this if I had expected to install the entire hardware on a new door.
