Perfect sandwiches and easy to clean

This Proctor Silex sandwich maker is absolutely perfect. Through the years I've had several products like this but all of them took a lot more time to cook a sandwich, and most of all, they were difficult and time consuming to clean, with all of the separate pieces to remove and clean, and to try to clean around the edges and to get into the seams. So it was easier just to use my frying pan on the stove and wash the pan in the sink. UNTIL I discovered this Proctor Silex little gem and it is AMAZING. I will never use anything else. It cooks a perfect grilled cheese sandwich in no time and the cooking surface is all one solid piece with no seams around the edges. There are no parts to remove and no edges/seams to try to get into to clean. No complications. Just wipe the surface with a damp cloth and you're done. Plus it is compact and the stainless steel exterior is really nice looking.

VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

Just received my sandwich maker and I already made the perfect sandwich. Love the size, love the color and love the performance. I have read reviews complaining for not having ON/OFF switch.... No problem at all... I use a wall plug adapter that this adapter has a switch, so you plug the sandwich maker on the wall adapter and just turn the adapter ON and OFF. The sandwich maker can stay plugged all the time. Hope that this help the unhappy customers about this issue. I am more than HAPPY!!!!! Thanks... Daisy

You can use almost ANY shape bread!

This is the third one I have purchased. We have the best Italian Bread bakery here in Niagara Falls (DiCamillos) and their bread isn't shaped like a square, so I needed to find a grilled cheese maker for my son that will fit their odd shape and I didn't want the lines of a panini maker. This sandwich maker is PERFECT! I bought one for my son, one for our house, and one for my nephew who is off at college. It's great to use with leftovers to make grilled any-kind of sandwich! You have leftover taco meat? Make a grilled cheese and taco meat sandwich! leftover thanksgiving? Make a turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce grilled sandwich! Anything you can eat between two pieces of bread works! You can make breakfast sandwiches, or dessert sandwiches! It cooks them to the perfect golden brown every time!! If you put too much in I recommend warming up the sandwich stuffing first (Like a meatball sandwich, warm the meatballs up before you grill or they may not heat all of the way through) But we LOVE this machine. If you have regular bread you can make two sandwiches at once, otherwise it's perfect for that odd shaped bread!

IWOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD!!! WE LIVE IN AN ASSISTED LIVING SPACE WITH NO KITCHEN AND BLEH FOOD SERVICE. HAVING THIS SANDWICH GRILLER HAS TRULY BEEN A LIFE SAVER! Not only for grilled sandwiches, which are fabulous!, but we cook BACON AND EGGS ON IT! WEVE GRILLED ASPARAGUS AND OTHEWR VEGGIES ON IT. Loved this so much I bought them for my kids

I wanted a sandwich griller that would not overly smoosh the sandwich, would have room for large sourdough bread slices, would heat the inside ingredients well, was easy to clean, and didn't make the divet in the center of the sandwich like one I had previously. I loved it so much that I bought one for each of my adult children and they love it too. It grills perfectly on the top and bottom - much better than a griddle. I highly recommend!

This is awesome!

I never realized how handy this would be! It makes toasted sandwiches very quickly. It is so nice not to have to flip a sandwich and have it slide all over the place. I would highly recommend this toaster.

A bit confusing, but works very well

there are two lamps I want to indicate power is on, and a green one to indicate that it is preheating. When the green one goes out, it is the correct temperature to put the sandwich in as far as I can tell. The flat grill pieces do a great job at toasting the bread on the top and the bottom the electrical cord is made of a kind of hard non-pliable black plastic rather than rubber, which is too bad , but it works...recommended!
