Clear Plastic

Look like glass, but it is clear plastic. The description (unless it's in the fine print) does not specifically mention this - you have to go to the answered questions to find this information. Measurements are easy to read and go up to 2.5 cups. It also shows ounce (oz) and ml measurements. They only thing I really did not like was the large stickers that come on the outside of the measuring cup. The pictures do no show these. The stickers are removable, but it took me about 10 minutes to peel them off. Fortunately, there was no residue left, which I did appreciate. Thus, I gave 4 stars.

Does the job, but...

I was looking for a thick hard glass measuring cup and found this. It does the job but it seems to be made of a hard plastic. The handle is made in a strange shape which makes it hard to put your fingers around it. This is a nuisance for my average size hands. I would not buy this item again.

Off by about 1/4 cup

The measurements are off by about 1/4 cup. 1 cup = 1 1/4 cups and the markings are very hard to read.

Graduated measurements are good - everything else not so much

I should probably return this but it's the only measuring cup with these detailed measurements. First, as Amazon sometimes does, I did a search for "GLASS" and it came up with this. Only one tiny word in the hundreds of words on the description say it's plastic - which I found after I received it and searched for it. The handle is too close to the container (see picture comparing it to a pyrex measuring cup - there is half the space to grip it with). It had two BIG stickers on it, one under the handle making it extra hard to remove. I was going to return it but after searching 6 pages could not find a glass one with the detailed measurements so I'll stick with it. I also feel that the handle is not very strong. I could move it and that bothers me.

Mom is thrilled!

My mom had been looking everywhere for a new 2 1/2 cup measuring cup and she is so excited to throw away her old one. It's perfect!

Not glass - but seems sturdy

It seems like it will last. The only issue I had was with the stickers, they both were pretty big and placed on the item in such a way that when you try to tear the sticker off, it leaves residue on the product. Some patience and washing and it will look fine, minor inconvenience.

This is not glass!

I wanted and needed a glass measuring cup. That's what I searched for and came across these. I liked that they could hold 2.5 lb as I needed something that could hold a healthy 2lb without being at the top. In the photo they appear to be glass. No where in the description does it say plastic, unless I missed it. I am completely disappointed because I wanted these to fill and pour wax with. Wax cleans a lot easier from a glass vessel than a plastic one, and I'd been putting off buying a glass measuring cup because a 2lb isn't large enough and I have no use for a 4lber. So again, really disappointed but now that I know it's possible for these to come in 2.5lbs I'll so a search online and see what I come up with. For them to be plastic, they are definitely nice. Plastic is a nice clear. Nice weight to them and the peeling off of the 2 stickers was not that bad. You just gotta peel very slowly and steady.

labels impossible to remove

I have tried everything, soaking in hot soapy water, dishwaher cycle, adhesive remover, and the glue from the labels, and even the labels themselves stay stubbornly on this plastic measuring cup. Buy glass instead, the labels come right off. These look horrible after my attempts. And always will.
