Does what it says. Make sure to use tamper proof bolts.
Act as both a brake booster and a lock. Needed both. It weights just over 600grams. So not light, but considering it's about the same weight as every other frame lock without the mounting hardware or brake booster, the weight makes it worth it. Also you can lock it without the key. I prefer to just keep the key with my house keys so this is perfect for that

Inexpensive Amsterdam type lock
I use this lock on my single speed townie, which would not be the end of the world if it got stolen. Love its convenience. Once on the bike, I think it would be very difficult to snap open, like they show on youtube. Yes they could steal the whole bike, but as I said earlier...

Did not arrive with sufficient mounting hardware.
I discovered this in Locarno Switzerland. I admired its simplicity, permanence and deterrence. Yet, the supplier did not include hardware to mount it safely and securely. I must find and create my own solution. If you are not handy and inventive don't order this. Minus 2-3 stars for this lack of completeness, and assistance. Even the 3x3 one-sided slip of picture and direction were terribly inadequate and impossible to refer to. If you've never seen this mounted you would have a difficult time trying to figure it out.

LOVE this lock
When my husband and I traveled to Amsterdam everyone had these awesome locks so when we got home we wanted them for our bikes at home too...love this lock! Its not ideal to leave your bike out overnight somewhere but its perfect for a quick stop at the grocery store or library or anywhere that you will be for a couple hours. Easy to install and easy to lock and unlock each time. Its really ideal!

A pretend "Amsterdam" lock
Not a true "Amsterdam" lock, but a make believe Amsterdam lock. A real "Amsterdam" lock has a curved bolt that comes around and locks the wheel securely. This just has a straight bar with a little tab on it that holds the bar in place and pretends to lock the bike. On a real "Amsterdam" lock the key is not removable until the bike is actually locked, so it is always in place when needed and can not be lost..

Maybe pointless
This should come with a security bolt. It is very heavy too. After handling it and realizing that anyone with a 10mm and an Allen wrench could take the lock along with my front wheel, I decided to not put this on my bike.

Heavy, but super strong and convenient
The lock is quite heavy, but is very strong. Needs a little oil once in a while or the lock mechanism will get stuck. Very convenient to have a strong permanent lock on the bike.

Great lock if you use it correctly!
This is a lock for when you need to leave your bike outside for a few minutes or you can't find somewhere to lock to. Not to be used for leaving your bike outside over night. But surely, if you're looking for a wheel lock, you probably already know that. I've been using this lock for a few weeks and love it. It works well, is simple to use, and feels fairly high quality. The best part for me was the variety of different options you have for mounting this. I don't think you'd be able to find a bike you couldn't bolt this to and that's awesome to me. I have mine attached to my front fork and have a dynamo light bolted to one of the unused mounts - which prior to this lock I had trouble finding a good place to mount it to due to some beefy cantilever brakes. It looks slick, but not flashy, which is exactly what I love. For the application, why spend any more for something else?
