worth every penny.

we needed a mailbox that could accept small packages or a ton of mail mainly lots of magazines and newspapers. I thought stuff would get wet but everything has been dry. Secure enough that stuff can't be fished out. its sturdy and built solid. Did not come with wall mounts but the hardware store had what we needed and its been up ever since. comes with 2 keys and after contacting the company they would get 2 more cut for around $15 each key i think (don't quote me on that. might have been 15 for both keys.). We are happy with this product. I will try to add pics. I know there aren't many for them. better pics would make the purchase easier i think .

Able to put 10 x 13 magazine straight in with no bending

This box is huge. Almost all mailboxes require bending a 10 by 13 magazine but this just swallows it up. Additionally, it can take small boxes like checks, small medicine packages in a secure fashion. I couldn't get my hand into the mail slot nor could I reach around the package bottom. I am not sure what the 4 screws with the jackets provided are for. I ended up using 4 LAG bolts. Note: no instructions, no drilling template, nor any warranty card were provided. Be sure to make your own template and pre drill the holes. Visit the Qualarc website for more details under support. You will need 2 people to install as this is heavy/awkward to try to hold and drill holes.

Well Designed, Carefully Constructed, Secure Drop Box (and Reasonably Priced)

Update: Many weeks after purchase and delivery....my complaint is resolved: One key was included. Not the promised two. I discovered that the blank for the key is very hard to find. I asked the company to provide a spare. It took some time but it has arrive. Thus I am back to my original rating. ======================= MY ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW.....I needed a prescription drop box next to my office for our pickup driver to deposit medications for the residents of an assisted living residence. It needed to have an easy to use drop slot, a secure lock and the capability of being securely mounted to a wall. The Qualarc Product fit the bill very nicely and for a reasonable price. My only complaint. One key. Not the promised two. I was told that the key could be duplicated at Lowes. Nope. Or at Home Depot or at Ace. A locksmith told me that the key is restricted and that the blank for it is very hard to come by. I have been told by e mail hat Qualarc will be sending me a second key soon. We will see.

size of box

This box is huge. But love it. Will hold 3 weeks of my mail. I dont get near what I use to since my bills are auto pay. But this box holds mail and smaller packages and magazines. Metal not as heavy as i expected. has key lock. But if a theif really wanted in could pry it open w screw driver could be done. Door opens left to right. A maintance type person could change door to other side. Im fine w opening. I live in a pretected cul de sac. So if ur looking for this as heavy duty in a sparse population you may want a heavier metal.

Box was literally coming apart at the seams WHILE STILL IN BOX!

As others have already mentioned, this box is even bigger than expected, but then it’s my responsibilty to check the given measurements carefully and buy—or not—accordingly. Just be sure to confirm it’s the size you want before purchasing. My real issue was the build quality. As you can see from my pics, it had started to literally come apart at the seams WHILE STILL IN THE BOX. The flanged sides of the lid were apparently spot-welded to the top and had completely broken loose on one side and begun to pull apart on the other WHILE STILL IN THE BOX! How would this have possibility withstood actual use outdoors? Others have posted very similar pics, so this is not an isolated incident but rather a result of poor design, poor manufacturing and poor quality control. It deserves negative stars, but 1 is as low as I can give it. Very disappointing, particularly in a product as pricey as this one.

Great but HUGE

I ordered this and even though I read the measurements it was HUGE. I ended up sending it back, but if you had the right house this would be a great mailbox. I live in a 1100 sq ft cottage and this was just too big. Appear to be great quality etc. So just know if you buy this that it is VERY large.

Large Box

This box is great size, it does not include a flag or slot for outgoing mail. Also it would be helpful if the door was able to installed on opposite side depending on placement.

Well constructed but massively huge

I underestimated how huge this box is. It's good for parcels and mail, but you need some good real estate for this. I ended up returning mine unfortunately, as the size didn't look right on my small house.

Not easy to install. I love the size. Can hold large amounts of mail. Can also hold small packages.
