Good lightweight toning creme

I have only used toning shampoos in the past, but I was excited to find a toning styling creme. This creme is lightweight and has a nice and pleasant scent. I only need a small amount and I apply it to my hair before putting in my regular products and it doesn't weigh my hair down at all or leave any sort of residue. I notice that my hair looks brighter and less brassy after using this for a few weeks. I didn't find that it did much for moisturizing my hair or controlling frizz, but it does a good job at toning. Overall, this is a good option for a lightweight toner if you are looking for an alternative to purple shampoo.

Not the best, not the worst

I have a ton of different toning products, most of them being sprays or product to wash out in the shower but I only have one other toning styling cream aside from this one and though this one’s good, I think I still prefer the other one. I think the one thing that I don’t really like about the styling cream is the scent.. it’s not that it’s bad it’s just not good and I prefer my hair products to smell nice. Aside from that it does pretty well to style the hair, it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy or feeling like waxy or anything. I do still use it from time to time though it’s not my go to but I’m not sure if I will be repurchasing just yet. It’s certainly worth a try if you’re considering!

Works well if you are platinum blonde. Lightweight. You don’t need a ton, just a bit.

The price is a tad high for me and it doesn’t stop the need for toning shampoo & conditioner. So I might order again not sure yet

Fine as a styling creme

My hair is a natural level 7.5, raised to 8 and warmed from cool to neutral. I use several R+Co products and really love how they make my hair look, without dulling my hair. I was hoping this would help restore shine and maintain brightness after my stylist visits. I think it may be more intended for those whose hair has more dramatic color change than mine, since I don't really see any effect at all. It's not too heavy, though, and works fine in a very small amount for my fine hair. The fragrance is inoffensive (and I'm sensitive to fragrance), and fades pretty quickly - no "oh my gosh, I'm so tired of smelling my hair products" like some styling products. Overall, it's a fine styling creme, but not as good a choice as others for me.

Smells great, tones

I've had a great experience with the R+co shampoo and conditioner, so I was excited to try this R+Co Sunset Blvd Blonde Toning Styling Crème. The creme is not a spray bottle; it's a pump. I've used purple shampoos and toning products before with mediocre results. I wasn't expecting much, but my highlights looked blonder (as if I had recently been to the salon). I have blond highlights and hope that continued use will keep them bright and not yellow. I imagine I will go through this bottle very quickly, which may be a pricey habit over time. The direction states you apply to damp hair and style as usual. I like the smell. The creme is lightweight, and I don't notice a residue after drying. This product is vegan and cruelty-free, which is important to me.

Nice refresher for in between coloring

I have really long hair that I bleach and tone. I was looking for something a little stronger than purple shampoo in between hair appointments. This definitely is! It’s not as harsh on your hair as a regular toner, so I’m able to spritz my hair daily with this. I spray it in my hands in the shower after I conditioned my hair. It’s a nice refresher in between coloring, and it looks like it smooths and shines my hair as well. The best part is this smells good and it’s super lightweight, so I don’t feel like I have a ton of product on hair. Would totally recommend!

Great toning! Makes my hair a little sticky

This does give AMAZING toning! I love my blonde hair to have a silver tint...I get it toned monthly at the salon, but it fades after a couple of weeks. I use purple shampoos and conditioners, but I still don't quite achieve that same level of ash. This product is what I was missing. The toning is beyond, with beautiful silver in the sun, and a nice ash blonde (no brassiness) indoors. My only complaint is that it leaves my hair a little sticky, so I get some piecey/chunky areas that I'm not keen on (I like my strands fully flowing). My hair is very fine, though; it gets sticky easier than most, and if you have medium or coarse hair I'm sure it wouldn't give you the same effect. The good thing is that it retains that toning on days 2 and 3 after washing, with no need to reapply, but the stickiness combs out with some oil/serum. Overall, I love this. It's not something I would use daily because I just prefer my hair to feel silkier, but on days that I want to look and feel my best, this is my new go-to styler.
