The color was a bit off
I purchased this about a year and a half ago but finally I am at my last straw. When I first opened the box, I saw a green color through the packaging and was slightly surprised. Now, the banana costume pictured online was yellow, but I'm no dummy and I know they wouldn't send me a fully ripe banana costume - that would only give me a short time to get some use out of it! But I hadn't expected such a stiff, bright green banana costume. I ordered it in March, so it actually turned out to be a great St. Patty's day outfit, but I was worried about what was next. As winter came and passed, I was shocked to see that the banana costume was still green! Not wanting to be the guy that immediately runs to the internet to whine, I tried some troubleshooting options. First, I watered it for a month, under the assumption that it might not have been fully developed when I received it. Next, I gave it a month out in the sun, trying to recreate it's original habitat during the warmer months. I searched online for clues, scouring the internet for what others have done if they weren't able to get their banana costume to ripen. I couldn't find anyone with the same issue I was having, but I did try a few of the tricks I unearthed for regular bananas. After putting the banana costume in a giant brown paper bag, the oven, and even trying to jam it into a microwave, IT WAS STILL GREEN! After all of this (1+ years), I was finally ready to give up. I've come to the conclusion that my banana costume will never be yellow, and I am okay with that. The costume is comfortable, fits well, and has gotten me many compliments. Overall, I am satisfied with the product but couldn't give it that fifth star due to the green color that persists to this day. But despite that, it's been a great product. I even ended up buying a matching gorilla costume (side note, it came way smaller than the product description, so I have been giving it water and food on a daily basis - fingers crossed that works!).

Great costume
I am a salty miser when it comes to Halloween... literally I don't think I'd dressed up for Halloween since I was in high school (I'm 35). So the banana costume came to me in a beer fueled moment of hilarity because I thought it would be funny to shock my friends with a ridiculous costume (it worked) and I bought this one sort of randomly I guess. It fit fine - I stuffed paper towels loosely in the top and the bottom to keep the cone shape. If you don't do this it will flop over. But it held its shape fine and I wore it playing a snare drum in a 2 hour Halloween parade. The laughs I got over this costume totally made it worth the cost. I don't know if I'll wear it again but if you wanted to I think it's well made enough that you could get a lot of use from it.

An insert for the head would make it better
I'm an adult woman who wore this to work all day long on Halloween. (What, did you think I was going to say Christmas?) It was surprisingly comfortable. I stuffed both ends with lightweight scarves to give them some volume. Even so, the costume kept slipping down over my face. This could have been solved by adding an interior sleeve that you slide your head through so that it keeps the costume in place. The other complaint I would lodge is that the upper tip of the costume is, er, phallic. If that's what you're going for, though, this will serve you just fine. So, would I buy it again in the unlikely event that I lost it and needed to dress as a banana again for Halloween? The answer is yes.

Fun inexpensiove easy costume
Hilarious costume. Got a lot of laughs especially when I dance with it on. Its one size fits all so expect it to be roomy and big, especially around the face hole. I'm 6ft.tall- 215 pounds and its was sorta large on me. I stuffed both ends of the suit with bubble wrap to give it some shape without adding weight. I wore black running spandex tights and tight long sleeve black shirt to give more of a costume appearance. Depending on the temperature, more layers of clothes will help fill in the costume and give it more shape and bulk. Its 100% Polyester so stains do not clean well so stay clear of makeup and any open flames/cigarettes as you will go up in flames!

One way to trip someone out
An apeeling choice for a costume. Wore it to a rave and everyone's mouthes dropped to the floor. "Was this the banana that grew legs and ran away?". "How could the children's stories be true!". Alas, what stood before these electronic dancers was a 6 foot banana, grooving to the rythm. The world was never the same.

Good costume, requires steaming out wrinkles
It's a banana costume, what more is there to say? It fit very well, the top part where the head goes didn't have major issues with collapsing and stood upright for most of the night. I was worried it might end too short and look rather silly, but it actually did cover a decent length of the body. See the picture for reference - this was Halloween 2015. Overall it was a great product for a decent cost. It did require a little bit of steaming when I first tried it on since it was packed rather tightly and I didn't want to show major wrinkles in the costume.

Affordable! Easy! Laughed so much!
Giving this costume 5 stars because of how much my group of friends laughed and danced in this costume! Our pictures are so funny I am amazed that something so cheap and easy made my night such a blast. This costume is affordable and easy! Being so, I got 5 of my friends guys/girls to also get this costume and we went to a party in a group. As soon as we realized how silly we looked dancing we couldn't stop laughing!! Everyone was coming up to us saying how awesome and funny we were. Beware - there is another version of this costume that was a little cheaper in quality and cost more at party city. The only way I can describe the difference is the length and back. This one is longer and the foam material is used all around. The crappy one is shorter and is a different cheap material on the back.

Good fit for every size!
Easy wearing, quick fix for a friends birthday! Guaranteed to get the laughs at a family/friends party. It doesn't take much effort to put on or wear, but looks like you've made a great effort. The actual quality of the fabric is good as well, thick material. I'm 6 foot 2 and it fit fine, and my housemate who is 5 foot 9 also borrowed it and found it comfortable and well fitting.
