Nice shirt, but WAY too big
This is a very high quality shirt as you would expect from Red Kap, however, I ordered an XXL just for the room in the belly area and it fits like a tent. I have several other 65% poly/35% cotton Red Kap industrial type work shirts that are size XXL and they fit great. I'm not a big guy. I'm 5'10" and 240 lbs. I'm not really fat, I just have this "bubble belly" (as my wife calls it). The buttons pull apart on most XL shirts in the belly area and they always seem to come un-tucked so I tried a Red Kap XXL poly/cotton blend work shirt and it fit great. There's just enough room across the belly for the buttons to not pull apart and feel like they're gonna pop AND they're a couple inches longer than the XL so they stay tucked in. I'm an auto collision repair estimator so I'm up and down a lot, laying on the ground looking under customer's vehicles. It's very embarrassing when your head is under a car in the parking lot and your belly is hanging out because your shirt is too small. All of the poly/cotton Red Kap XXL short sleeve work shirts that I have fit great and prevent that from happening. The only reason I ordered the 100% cotton version is because I wanted to see if it would breathe any better as I tend to sweat in the poly/cotton shirts. I figured if I ordered the same brand shirt in the same size it should fit the same, right? WRONG. I suspect the shirt is tagged wrong because this shirt fits more like a 3X or even 4X. The short sleeves go past my elbow, there are several inches of extra room in the belly area and the shirt tails hang almost down to my knees. Needless to say there is a LOT of shirt tucked into my pants and that makes for a very uncomfortable work day. On a good note, the 100% cotton shirt does breathe better than the the poly/cotton blend, but it takes a lot longer to dry when you DO sweat through it so it looks wet a lot longer. All-in-all I will probably just stick with the poly/cotton blend.
