Good Connector
This is a pretty good connector but a bear to attach 50amp cable. The installation is pretty straight forward but, working with 6-gauge wire is kind of rough. The only issue I had was because of the heavy 50amp cable I purchased. The cable sheath was so thick I couldn't attach the cable strain relief and pull the plug cover over the connector and it broke. I finally just left the cable strain relief off. Kind of pricey but, I'd buy it again.

Excellent twist - lock generator plug
Installed a generator connection on my home for the florida storms when we lose power. This plug connects to the receptacle perfectly.

Good AC Plug
This plug was a bit of a pain in the rear to install 6/4 wire due to the tight quarters. My hands hurt after I was done. The clamping system could have been a bit more stout, but it works well. Time will tell how well it holds up.

Works well for making a parallel generator cord
This plug was easy to wire up, and it makes a solid connection to the Reliance PB50 power inlet box. (This was expected since they are both Reliance products, but still.) I used this for building a single cable for hooking up two Predator 3500 generators in parallel. The 8/5 SOOW cord carries two hots, two neutrals, and one ground. Sheathed banana plugs are soldered to the hot and neutral ends for generator hookup. I've attached a photo showing that the two 8-gauge neutrals can fit together inside the neutral connector. (There's a 10AWG jumper connecting the two hot wires to get parallel operation.) Also, this particular make of 8/5 SOOW cord fits comfortably inside the strain relief clamp and the housing; this was not the case for my earlier attempt using a fatter 6/4 SOOW cord. I'm not an electrician, but I want to point out one thing: Even though each hot wire carries at most 30 amps, the shared neutral may carry up to 60 amps of return current since both generators use the same phase (in contrast to a 240V generator where the neutral would carry at most 30 amps because the two hots are 180 degrees out of phase). This is why I upgraded to a 50-amp plug for this application.

Actual order quantity / type different than ordered
I have purchased these plugs before and they are perfect for my use and are a much more reasonable price here than I can get them locally. So the 5 stars are for the product themselves. What my problem is and this has happened on every order I have made for these types of connectors or Cam-Lock style connectors is I never seem to get the correct number of the correct type. These have two model numbers LL550CReliance Controls LL550C 50 Amp Generator Power Cord Connector For Up To 12,500 Watt Generators are the female ends and LL550PReliance Controls LL550P 50 Amp Generator Power Cord Plug For Up To 12,500 Watt Generators are the male ends. In the attached picture you can see they put the wrong UPC and MODEL number on the packaging. The Reliance label is LL550C (this is the correct item) and the UPC is for LL550P. I was really needing 6 male and wanted 4 females as backup replacements but instead received 4 male and 6 females. This is a packaging issue and not anyone's fault but this could potentially be an issue if you are ordering a specific amount and need them all to be correct. I am not doing this to get the order fixed (though I wouldn't complain if it was) but more-so giving a fair warning that this has happened to me multiple times and I hope I'm not just that unlucky. Aside from that very good and reliable product.

Nice solid connector extremely suitable for the application
This is a nice solid connector extremely suitable for what I use it for, namely connecting a portable generator to a panel during a commercial power interruption. The connector is very resilient and withstands the rigors of being attached to the end of a cable that may get some rough handling when being deployed and again when being wrapped up for storage until the next time it's needed. Electrically it likely exceeds its rating, and makes a good reliable electrical connection, very well insulated in all aspects.

Wow! That was Fast!
I didn't add my own photo as I would not be able to produce anything that looks any better than what is shown when buying this item. :) It is exactly as shown and described and came really quick! Within two days I received the item and couldn't be happier with the entire process from ordering to receiving.

That you may not get what you would like .
I received 2 out of 3 items . I’m happy about the 1st two but did not receive my 3rd item witch was the most important one. For this reason the others two items don’t serve me . That’s why I give 3 stars out of 5

Broken
Unit looked great until I tightened up the body. I found the threaded part in the body was broken.

Works well up to a certain 50 amp wire gauge
Difficult to insert into the protective black cover after #6 (50 amp) wiring was connected. After some aggressive tightening of the terminal connections was able to insert. Overall very happy with the product.
