Live edge bar top

Used these to join two poplar boards 3 inches thick by 24 inches wides. Sturdy and durable. Will order again for future products.

These work great. I did I decided to use them exposed to keep the split in the live edge together then cover with epoxy.

Quirky but strong bolt

It takes a bit of finesse to turn these. I used a nail set and a right angle pick. But, they are strong, and crank down well once you get the hang of turning the ball-shaped nut. Buy a Freud forstner bit (7/8”) to get the holes right

Strip out threads on one & had to reorder one but love the utility of these, seem to work well but could be more resistant To thread striping

So far so good!

Installed 4 of these on a live edge desk I built and love the tight fit these fasteners created. Take your time on the install and I recommend getting the drill guide for creating a seamless fit.

Disappointed

Did not work nearly as well as I hoped. Very hard to get someone extremely tight with these and hold it. A clamp and pocket hole screws may do a better job
