Very large light fixture

This is a very large light fixture - much bigger than I pictured. The included rods allow you to adjust position, but with only one of the extension rods on my 8' ceilings the light hangs at about head level. Ultimately I'm not going to be able to use these above our island as I intended as they are just too bulky. Glad I only ordered one instead of the four we were going to use. We're going to try it over our kitchen table instead. The metal finish is nice. The glass shade needed quite a bit of cleaning right out of the box.

Pretty but show dust easy

I love the simple and shiny design. You'd definitely have to keep up on dusting with this chrome. I think it's a little pricey for a single pendant but it's good quality.

Nice light

I ordered this for my entryway. It was way to long for the area. It is a nice light just doesn't match my decor as well as I had hoped and would work better on higher ceilings, mine are 8'

It is big for what we wanted, but probably not big enough for many applications

I have mixed feelings on this product. I am giving it 5 stars though because I feel that I as the buyer am primarily responsible for the issue. We are/were in the process of remodeling our house. My wife and I were in conflict around what was intended to be a task light above the sink. I felt it was important, while my wife felt it was less critical. Although I won that argument and we were putting in a task light, we were again in disagreement on what that light should look like. As if it were a sign, this light along with several other Robert Stevenson lights came up as an option for me to get for free (as should be noted with this review, we received this product for free). Although not really the style I was looking for, it was hard to ignore what was going to be at least $100 or more in savings, and my wife picked this light. What neither of us noticed before ordering were the dimensions. Without looking, we thought it would be around 6 inches across at the widest part of the bottom, and probably 8-12 inches tall excluding the drop from the ceiling. As is clearly shown in the Amazon description, it is 11 inches across at the bottom, and 13.25 inches tall (excluding the drop). Although it is now installed, it is really too big to function as a pendant task light hung from an 8 foot ceiling. I try to imagine this particular light anywhere in my house, and really cannot picture it being suitable anywhere there is an 8 foot ceiling. For a fixture of this size, even hanging as a dining room chandelier, it contains only a single bulb, which I don't think would look right as a dining room chandelier. Perhaps hung as a group of 2-3 lights in a line over a long table, or a large group of 4-6 hung from a high ceiling in a foyer/entry way to a house I think would look good as options. But this single fixture is large for it's single bulb. Pay close attention to the dimensions and you'll be fine. It's a quality product, made of quality materials, packaged well without any real concern for damage. I cannot fault the product or it's manufacture for my opinion on its size/dimensions, so it gets 5 stars.

Glass is very thin and cracked installing it. They should have put a rubber washer between the nut and the glass. Everything about this light feels cheep. Thin metal. Very disappointed. After two negative experience, with low quality products, I'm staying away from Robert Stevenson Lighting.

This fixture works so well with my decor. It is simple yet very decorative. It was super easy to assemble and install. I was impressed with the quality and workmanship.
