Good Quality Lampshade - fabric swatches would help
This is a well-made high quality lampshade. Eggshell had more of a gold hue than I was expecting. Apparently, from reading other reviews, white is more of a creamy white color rather than a bright white. I was expecting that Eggshell would be a creamy white as it is in paint colors. However, white can cost $20-$40 more than Eggshell and I needed three lamp shades. So a bit disappointed by the gold but impressed with the workmanship and quality. Swatches would be a help but are not offered. I did manage to revive some old lamps that belonged to my mother with these lamp shades, new finials, some gadgets available on amazon called finial risers that will permit you to perch your lampshade a bit higher on a lamp for the sake of appearance. All in all, all 3 shades that I purchased are attractive and of good quality.

Color not as described
I want to say that overall this is a really nice lampshade and definitely worth the money however the color is not what I wanted I wanted a white lampshade which is what I ordered and what I thought I was getting however and I got a cream colored one it will work but overall I’m disappointed because I wanted white so if your looking for true white keep looking this isn’t it

Beautiful elegant high quality shade at a value price!
I have put off getting a new shade for my Remington Brass lamp for a number of years - way longer than I should have because it was beginning to look pretty ratty. It was the original shade ... making it 31 years old. It WAS a silk shade but when I went to clean it and my finger went through the liner .. well it was time. I ABSOLUTELY wanted the exact same shade and style and was having a bit of a hard time finding one with the same dimensions. I originally went looking for an eggshell color shade but this shade was out of stock in that color and rather than take a chance on this beige color being out of stock in the future I ordered it. Smart move on my part! This is a very pale beige color and gives a nice warmth to the light but does not darken the overall lighting of the table. The pleats are even and the finished edges are nicely done and seams are clean. The shade is finished off as well as much more expensive shades that I looked at and I feel this was a very good value. It looks beautiful with my lamp and I've already received a compliment. It's PERFECT !

Very well made....I'm happy.
I replaced the 25yr. old lamp shades on my 50yr. old chimney lamps with these shades. I like things that last and the reviews I read said these were nice. I was very happy when I received these shades as they are very well made and breathed new life in my old lamps.

Best quality and size selection
I had several lamp shades that I had always considered needed replacing - some day. Well one finally tore such that the silk drooped from the inside down and I was afraid it might touch the lightbulb and catch fire. Brick and mortar or on-line stores that carried lamp shades had cheap quality or poor selection. Even worse, some stores did not list the sizes in the industry acceptable standard so you did not quite know what the size was. And for a lamp shade, size does matter. Why did I not go to Amazon first? Because it is a product I would rather see and touch before buying. But I took a chance and am delighted. The Royal Designs come in many color and size choices. (More would have been even better.) The one I received is super and I immediately ordered two more which were also perfect.

Good quality lampshade for the price
Very nice lampshade for the price. High quality and looks great on my new lamp. I took off 1 star because the hardware is only painted to look like brass, instead of actual brass finish. The brass paint doesn't look as good as a real brass finish, but most people won't be looking at it from the top.
