Works ok

Got these for my stamp pads at school. They lasted a few weeks and then I dried out. Not sure that it works that great.

Will stain fingers, but good product!

Easy to use and very good color saturation (we used them on a coffee filter to show color mixing). Will stain fingers though, took a couple days to scrub off.

Great sample kit for coloring bare wood

I bought these as a test kit of these stains so the small size was what I was expecting. My intended use is staining wooden toys for my kids. I have been using the color splash liquid for a few days on pine shapes which have been sanded clean first. As far as shipping, the bottles came packed in a nice tidy little box, and each vial was then wrapped in plastic individually. Each vial also had a seal inside the cap. Everything was intact when I got it and nothing had leaked. There are no instructions, so I played around with them some. I settled on soaking a rag in a few drops of the color and then rubbing it to the wood. The lack of instructions is only the reason it's not 5-star. This cost me some time trying to figure out what worked best and seemed like something you'd want to include in what I'd consider a sample pack. I was surprised how little stain was needed to get a good color. The bottle tips are almost eye-dropper sized openings, so you can easily release just a drop or two at a time. To stain a 6x6" flat surface reasonably dark took about 25-30 drops, which hardly registered as a loss of volume in even the 1-oz vial. The color penetrated pretty deeply into the wood, which is great for my application (as opposed to paint, just laying on the surface). I sanded off an area just to check, and it took some work to get back down to bare wood. That's a note of caution too, because any screw-up may be difficult to get out. As for what happens when it gets on you, they don't wash off that easily. I wore latex gloves but somehow managed to still get some on me, which I left on there for maybe 30 minutes while I was working. I tried to wash it off but the next day my kids were giving me grief about my blue fingers. It probably took 24 full hours to all wash off.

These are vibrant.

We used these to color stain wood leaves with a 2-yr-old. We worked outside and wore aprons (actually, one of us wore very little). After the leaves were painted, we added more water and it turned into a color mixing activity. When these are gone, we will definitely be buying more of these.

Great watercolors to experiment with

I used colorations liquid water colors at work as a preschool teacher, but wanted some I could use at home. I really like these- they’re easy to use and affordable. I had fun adding a little water to make the colors lighter, and mostly just played around with them. Fun stuff!

Meh

The colors didn’t adhere to the paper as well as expected. Was disappointed at how expensive it was for such small amounts of paint. Wouldn’t buy again.

Perfect for craft time!

These are great! Used them to make foam paint with my four year old. The colours are vibrant and way more washable than food colouring. The paint comes out at a good speed, so my daughter can play independently and I don’t have to worry about too much of a mess. Does stain wood.

Stain

Great product and really vibrant colours with only a few drops used. My only discrepancy is they do stain is used in contact with skin straight from the bottle, if you add them to something for example spaghetti like I have for my son then please wait till it has fully absorbed into the product before touching it otherwise it will stain your hands. Apart from that not a bad product.
