The tape is placed like ordinary tape - then when you pull the firm top layer off, it leaves a very, very thin layer of sticky material - this layer is so thin and fragile that it is kind of hard to pull off the top without pulling off part of the sticky - put I manage to make it work pretty well. Then putting a piece of backing paper down, it sticks right away. So on the whole it is working well, and far more convenient than trying to use ordinary glue. I'll save 5 stars for a product that is a little easier to use.

Shipped wrong!

Shipped wrong - TWICE!! I ordered the box of 12 and got a single roll. So requested replacement - again - a single roll! I love this product, but not for over $100 per roll!!

Quick and easy ...

I mount a lot of photos, do some framing, etc. Using this double backed super sticky tape with the 3M dispenser is the way t go! I found it best to use both the 1/4" wide and 1/2" tape and dispensers.

Good product

I love the tape and applicator. my only difficulty with it is the products tendency not to lay down a smooth line of tape consistantly, and bunch up in areas.

Works smoothly with Scotch ATG 700 Adhesive Applicator, Dispenses 1/2 in and 3/4 in wide ATG rolls. I bought them together and use them for any project that requires sticking paper or photos and paper together. Great tool to have for large projects. I will buy this tape again.

This tape needs an applicator

It is virtually impossible to mount this tape without getting it gummed up in a ball or stuck to your fingers. The tape is available by Amazon Prime, but the applicator is not. By the time I purchased one and shipped it here to Alaska, it would cost well over $50. Not a good deal, and I'm not sure that would solve the problem.

I use this in the Scotch ATG Applicator and it works great. Very sticky! It will hold the protective paper on the back of a photo with no problems.

Sort of works

I have a pink Scotch ATG and have always used ¼" tape which seems to be hard to find now. That tape holder has two protrusions beside the spindle which holds the full reel. The slots keep the tape reel in place and allow it to unroll as you move the runner. These rolls of tape are missing a slot so I made one. It is easy to do with either a drill and small bit or a fine tip X-Acto type knife. The plastic is soft and easy to cut. That is the only way the reels will fit onto the spindle. It does work but seems not function as well as the ¼" rolls I used to use.

Works great when using an applicator. Horrible to work with otherwise, but that goes with all transfer tape/double sided tape. Great product for a great price.
