If you buy a lot of amazon stuff and have returns buy this!!
This is an absolute necessity for those of us who are addicted to online shopping and have items to return all the time or may have a business where we are packing and shipping orders! This tape dispenses and cuts the tape super easily and makes it easy to get your items packaged perfectly and you can tape over the return labels and not have to worry about if rain hits the return label because the tape acts as a “lamination” to waterproof the label! Love this tape and will be purchasing more!!! Highly recommend!!! Even wonderful for Christmas for wrapping presents!! The adhesion is sticky and adheres great!

Great For Heavy Box Packing
We go through packs of this tape monthly to send out fairly large boxes of loot overseas to the family. This is better than the lower strength packing tape they have so make sure to get this item labeled as "Heavy Duty".

Easy to dispense with this
The dispenser makes it easier to use and cut. A tip: fold one corner of tape when you're done just a little so next time it's easier to get started (ie the tape doesn't stick all the way across the roll and make it more of a hassle to start next time). Good quality tape. Not the cheap kind that's splits easily.

Works like a charm
I've used Scotch / 3M Heavy Duty shipping tape for years and love it. It holds, holds, holds, and applying it is a breeze, as well, since it has no tendency to 'curl' as you take a piece (even a long [ say three-foot ] piece off the spool. Plus using this simple dispenser (which is really why I bought this 'combo pack,' given that I do not see this particular dispenser model available just by itself). It cuts the tape like a dream, is light weight and compact, keeps the end of the tape suspended after cutting so that it does not re-adhere to the roll - always ready for the next package. It's also easy to change rolls once the one you are using runs out. Simple, elegant, and perfect for my purposes.

I didn't realise this was the large version of this tape (we always use the smaller versions) - they look pretty similar in the picture. My fault for not reading the details more carefully. Served its purpose (sealing a box to send to USA) but I found it more difficult to use and the tape seemed less willing to unreel - a bit of a struggle. Stuck well once on though! But I will revert to the smaller version next time.

Bougth this just for the dispenser
I got this just for the dispenser and it's reusable so it works great. It's a standard size dispenser unlike those mini roll ones so you can fit the 6 pack 50m rolls refill rolls into it. Super expensive since this single 35m roll costs as much as the 6 pack 50m refill rolls but as long as the dispenser holds up it will be worth it in the long run.

Frustration-Free JUST LOVE IT!!!!
Hands down this is the best shipping tape I have ever used. It is strong yet easy to handle, does not curl into itself and if that happens it can be pulled apart without a fight. Does not have a tendency to rip. The hand held dispenser takes a minute or two to figure out but once you do its real easy to use. No more cut fingers, no more running off an extra foot of tape with the old dispenser then have that tangle itself all over your package. Once you try this you will never go back. NOTE: I stress the importance of using the HEAVY DUTY Scotch to get these qualities.

Scotch-Brand 35M roll of Packaging Tape has a Product Defect and a Poor Quality Dispenser
This 35M roll of tape doesn't have a proper lead to enable starting the roll without cutting into the tape. I found a similar feedback comment on a 50M length of the same Scotch-Brand packaging tape on the Staples.ca website as a review. Looks like Scotch has an occasional defect of this type, and I just got "lucky" to get one of these defective rolls. As a result of this defect, I have not used any of this roll of tape. Also, the included plastic dispenser is of poor quality. After this order I bought a much better plastic dispenser with 35M of packaging tape from the Dollar store for a total of less than 1/3 the price of this combination of tape/dispenser. While I would hope the Scotch-Brand tape would be stronger, I didn't have to contend with the defect of no proper lead and a poor quality dispenser. I will plan on returning this Scotch-Brand item for a full refund. FYI - I have made a copy of this review for my own reference and for follow-up purposes if you try to ignore me.

Compact and great to use
I loved using this dispenser and the tape that came with it. It was small enough to pack in luggage and not add too much weight when I had to ship it back to myself. I don't have a car so I have to ship a lot to my new home and the tape held up better than any other packing tape I used. I also like how you can use any packing tape with this dispenser. It might not be as nice as those big tap guns but I find this small one to be less annoying to deal with and less exhausting to use at the end of the day.
